Like Tools in a Tool Shed

While making my morning coffee and looking forward to reading my new Titus 2 Meeting Guide from Lisa at New Harvest Homestead~ an awesome newsletter that I highly recommend!!~ I was thinking how blessed I am to have all sorts of resources to quench my thirst for knowledge.

But, then I started thinking of all the *tools* that I have at my disposal that go mostly unused or at least,  under-used.

The conversation in my head (anyone else do this?) went something like this:

Wow!, I can't wait to pull the pages off the printer.  Boy, I'm excited to start something new!!  Wait, I haven't even finished the book I'm reading, or the Biblical Womanhood in the Home book I've printed off (Jeff isn't going to be too happy that I've printed off almost 200 pages and not read them yet!!) hmmm...there's also that Home Management Notebook that I keep meaning to update....oh, yeah and I have to read through the books I bought yesterday for my Sunday School lesson.... Whew!!

Then it hit me~belated, I know~ that I have so many resources from so many places, all good, all worthwhile, all sitting somewhere in my house or saved on my computer but they are only good if I use them~ kinda like tools in a tool shed.  The garden doesn't get planted, tended and harvested if the tools sit in the shed.

I completely understand! I just ordered two new books (both for spiritual study), plus all the fun things I read from my friends here...just a little bit of overload I think for me! LOL
