Thirteen Things I Love About Where I Live

1. I have a long driveway.
2. You can't see my house from the road.
3. It's close to the grocery store (2min.)
4. It's close to my children's schools. (Ashley's school is in our backyard ~literally; Adam's is just down the road.)
5. I have almost 2 acres in the city with "woods" on 3 sides.
6. My parents live 5 minutes from me.
7. I can see the space shuttle take off from my backyard.
8. My crepe myrtles and azaleas when they're in full bloom.
9. I don't live in an Homeowner's Association.
10. The cardinals,bluebirds & red-tail hawks that nest nearby.
11. I have a large kitchen.
12. My kids can play in the yard without fearing cars on the road.
13. The 3 racoons that come up to eat the cat food (anytime day or night)and take a moonlight swim in the pool.  I've seen them grow from babies and while they are wild, they pose no immediate danger and they're fun for my children to watch grow up.
