Friday, September 1, 2006Things I Love About My Husband #4 & #5Posted in 101 Things I Love About My Husband4. I love it when my sweet, considerate, thoughtful husband calls me on his way to work, pretty much right after he walks out the door and sings, "I Just Called to Say I Love You!" Pretty corny but it really makes me feel loved. Especially, when right after he finishes singing he tells me he was just thinking about how blessed he is and how thankful he is to have me as his wife.
5. I'm very appreciative of the times when my husband works from home but will take a nap with the baby so she'll get to sleep.....but really, it's just to give me a break!
I'm very blessed!

2. My husband know how much I love my coffee in the morning. (Did I mention that I drink my coffee in a soup bowl?) So almost every evening he gets the coffee maker ready so that all I have to do when I wake up is press the button. On those rare mornings that I sleep in he starts it for me and even makes the first cup.
3. He always fills up the gas tank and washes the car off for me so I don't have to worry about it.
It seems like he's always doing those little things we, as wives, take for granted. Writing the reasons I Love my husband down only serves to help me remember that there are many, many more wonderful, thoughtful things about my husband than not.
Have you started your list yet?
I'm looking forward to hearing how the 30 day challenge is working for everyone.

I haven't started my list yet but I wanted to share some other thoughts about how women can appreciate and honor their husbands. This is a topic that I've been working lately so that I can learn to put my husband's needs above my own and truly honor him. Here are some links to my favorite resources from Revive Our Hearts 15 Ways to Please Your Husband 30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge for Wives 31 Days of Praying for Your Husband I also recommend reading the book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. If you don't already know what they Five Love Languages are, I highly suggest you take a look at the website and maybe even buy the book. It gives wonderful information about the way we all give and receive love. (This is a good source to figure out your children, too!) Well, it's a start anyway. I just thought of something sweet that my husband does for me. It might sound silly but, I really love that my husband thinks enough of me to track down my cell phone so that he can plug it into the charger each night...just in case I forgot (which I often do) and I have a phone to use in case of emergency. If, like me, you sometimes forget to encourage your husband I challenge you to join me in the 30 day challenge....and let me know how things are going for you. | 5 comments | | Link |
