YOUNG DISCIPLE CAMP
This summer I went to Young Disciple Outdoor Camp. I took three main classes. Fire for Missions, science Experiments and Wilderness Survival. We would get up at 6 am and have our devotional time. Then at 6:30 we showered. Then we had unit sharing. All the campers were divided into units. After that we went up the hill for line call, exercise and marching. (FUN!) After breakfast we would go down and clean our cabin. Some people were in tents, but my unit was in a cabin. We had to clean well for inspection. Sometimes we got blue ribbons! Next was a Bible study class. I learned a lot from it.
In science experiment class we made bottle rockets. We used pain reliever and water. We made flubber, too. It was was weird.
In Wilderness survival we made shelters and slept in them one night. We were on a hill so that night when we got into our sleeping bags we would slide down all squished up together! In the evening we had special activity. Sometimes we went swimming. More later.... have to go practice my violin...

I'm glad to hear you got to go to the YD camp. That sounds so neat. I wish it was closer to us!
I just wanted to let you know that you should be able to view Kate's blog, but you'll need to be signed in, as she has it as friends only and I believe you are on her friends list. She posted her first day's diary with some pictures on her blog. She is slow getting at this. She is waiting for other pictures from friends. She didn't take her digital camera with everywhere and one of her disposables was taken (she thinks one of the locals may have grabbed it when she went to wash her dishes), so she lost all those photos. She was pretty bummed. A friend shared some photos with her, some of scenery, which was nice as that was on her camera that was taken.
Warmly,
Melissa
