Fountainview
                                Our Trip
Two weekends ago we went  to  Fountainview academy with our choir. Fountainview  is  an adventist academy in Canada, B.C. We worked with Craig Cleveland, the orchestra and choir director.

We left Thursday morning and met up with our caravan at the church. It takes about 7 hours to get to Fountainview  so we went  to the bathroom. Splash!!!!!! splash!!!!!!!!! OH, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of the downstairs of our church was flooded!!

We carried stuff from the Sabbath school rooms, and some people tried to rescue pianos.

Finally we were on the road, but oh,   we had  about 40 people so there were more bathroom breaks, and long ones too.

We went past the place where they have Camp Hope. And we also went past Hells Gate, which is named  because of the impassable spot in the Fraser River. And then there were tunnels,  lots of them. We tried to hold our breath through each one.

There Finally!!!!!!!!

We arrived that evening and got a bite to eat and then started to practice warm-ups.
Later we went to bed.Our family stayed at the house that my mom lived in when her family lived at
Fountainview .

Friday more practice. Then we went down to the Fraser River and jump ropped and got a little wet. In some places where the water had drawn back for a few moments, we would run over there and rock  back and forth on  unstable sand, sometimes sinking in. It was weird.

On sabbath morning we had our concert.

Then we went to the house boat .

When we got there we had a good supper, then went on a little motor boat and cannoe . Once when I was in the cannoe it tipped when the nose was pulled up on shore too far.  A girl and boy fell out, but I stayed in.

When it was dark we got in the hot tub and went off the slide. It was great fun! The water  was tingly cold.We only stayed in seconds at a time.I got a head ache though because I didn't dip my head in the hot tub each time.

On Sunday we started back towards the dock. It was a long ways. But we got to be in the hot tub all the way. Sometimes we would stop so that we could use the slide. This is glacial water. Very COLD. And remember this is CANADA  on the 6th of MAY!

We jumped off the roof of the houseboat. Thanks! Clevelands. We had a blast!

Sounds like a fun trip. That is cool that you stayed at the place your mom used to live. I hope they get the flooding problem fixed.

Have a good one,
Makayla
