My Simple Woman’s Daybook for today!

For today… Monday, September 1st, 2008.

Outside My Window… The sun is shining brightly, and the leave still green move in the wind.

I am thinking… about how messy the house is, and I need to get my Bible Reading Challenge post up about Abraham and Isaac.

I am thankful… the cool wind that is keeping the hotness of the sun to a low level.

From the kitchen… it's a mess... from the party last night. We'll need to be making lunch here pretty soon, tho.

I am wearing...my blue jean coloured skirt, an orange 'nice' t-shirt, bare feet, hair in ponytail.

I am creating… The post. :D

I am going… finish my Bible Reading Challenge post when I am done with writing this.

I am reading…  I am reading Enoch Roden’s Training for the HSB Literary Club. I am also still reading the Journeys Of Faithfulness by Sarah Clarkson, which I will be reviewing for Growing In Grace, September issue. Very good book! I just a few days ago got the 2nd and 3rd Elsie Dinsmore books from the library, and am reading the 2nd one. I am loving it!

I am hoping…that I can get that Bible post done today so I can post it tomorrow.

I am hearing… Amanda's footsteps on the stairs, bringing Lucy down from Mom.

Around the house… Amanda is playing with Lucy, the boys and Eric are upstairs watching a movie (I think) Jocelyn is not up yet (up late last night) Mom is up/sleeping in the attic room, where the boys are.

One of my favorite things…is to sit in the maple outside and feel the wind on my face and feel the tree move beneath me.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Well, I’ll write what I plan to do for today -clean up the house, make something sweet, maybe some chocolate chip cookies or oatmeal cookies, get back to writing my pioneer book that I started two years ago and never finished, and check on the baby goats.

This is one of Mom's Morning Glories. I like to call them the Glories of the Morning, tho. You should see all the beautiful pink flowers, vining the old rustic fence and the windmill.
