Our Goals
Our goals for our family is to Move to Tennesse. On the land we are in the process of purchasing. We would like to Grow most our own foods and have our own animals for milk, meat and eggs. We have been looking at 4 acres but would love to have more. We want Mini Jersey Cows and Mini Nubian Goats, Horses, Buff Orphington Chickens. We will Build our own house. I would love to learn to sew our Dresses and aprons and headcoverings. Would love to knit, and crochet. I am not very crafty but I am working on learning and coming up with ideas. I want to learn to make my own breads, Noodles, and learn canning and being more in the kitchen.
I will add more later. Gloria Davis
Goals-Continued
Another day. I want to learn more on Fermenting Foods. I have a desire to learn more about keifer and what I can use it in for our health. I know how to make it and have the Grains. I will use it with the raw milk I get from my cows and goats once I have them as well. Right now I use some with regular milk I buy from the store. I will be broke soon from that. LOL
I am looking for a good Bread Mixer and Want to know more about Flours and etc. Dont get me wrong I know how to cook. But there is alot of different flours etc out there on the market. I want to learn the difference and what and why to use certain ones. Any bread makers out there please message me sometimes. I could sure use a few teachers.
Canning. I want to know some of the things people can and some good recipes. I gonna get me a canner and start doing some this spring when I can buy produce by the bushel. Until we can grow most our own on our homestead. Will write again soon. Gloria

Also you mentioned Bread making and learning about the different flours. I would like to direct you to http://www.urbanhomemaker.com/articles/ The Molls carry Bosch Universal Mixers that are fantastic for mixing and kneading dough. The site also has articles about grain mill comparisons, wheat/flour info, as well as recipes. I gave you a direct link to the articles page.
I hope this helps.
