My own homemade hot and spicy mustard !!!!

I was at the grocery store getting a few things and I was at the deli getting some cajun roast beef {MY favorite !!} On sale of course, {from 6.49 a lb. to 3.49 a lb.} And then I saw some hot and spicy mustard there and wanted it but when I seen the price...4.00 something for a 5oz. bottle, I think !! What ever it was, I said, whew kinda high for that and then turned it over and read the ingredients, I said,"I can do that !!" So I got the ingredients...Jar of all natural mustard-.99 cents, vinager-{big bottle} 1.09, {bought fresh horseradish root,but still had some in a small jar at home so I used it first !!}, Now, that's all I bought cause I had the rest at home. And here's what  I did...

Took a just about empty plastic bottle of regular mustard and added into it, so as to make sure I didn't make to much....

A little more than half of the jar of mustard

*** 2 TB spoons of cayenne pepper ***

2 and half  TB spoons of Horseradish

1 and half  TB spoons of blackpepper

1 and half  TB spoons of cajun seasoning salt

1 tsp of  red hot cayenne pepper sauce

*** I like things hot   so you may not want  2 TB spoons, adjust/lower to your likeness !! ***

Then I squeezed into a blender and blended real well for about 1 minute, then poured back into the squeeze bottle !!! I then prepared me a mayo/hot must. with cajun roastbeef and cheese on wholewheat bread !!! MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm !!!!!! {My next attempt is to try to make my own wholewheat bread !!! Pray for me !!!!   }

Well I really liked it and for what it cost, for the store brand, I can make twice  and  in a bigger squeeze bottle !!!!! Let me know if you try it and like it !!

You CAN make your own by getting mustard powder and adding vinegar to that .... but I would rather get the prepared mustard. I think that your mustard might be a little TOOOOOOOO hot for me ... I can't take anything spicy - my tongue won't let it go past .. don't know how my tummy would react, cause the tongue keeps saying "no no!"

RIGHT ON KELLY! Good for you!! I often do the same thing at the store! WE CAN DO IT, the companies out there just count on consumers to be too LAZY to do it....and viola--that's how you can get $4 for a tiny jar of ANYTHING.
