I'VE BEEN REALLY DEPRESSED LATELY !!!

    I've been SO VERY depressed for the past couple of months, I have a couple of ideas why,but I really thought it would start getting better, BUT it's not !! And then I spent over 2 hours last night typing an email letter to this pastor's wife, {I've met online through her great site...http://www.freewebs.com/boazbaptist/joyfulhelpmeetathome.htm.....}pouring my  
 heart out and then when I pushed send, it went straight to "your time has expired, please log back in."  So I don't know if she got it or not, so in turn I felt even worse.

There are a few very important things that need to be taken care of here at the house and then on top of that I'm fat and miserable and ALWAYS tired, all I WANT to do, {but of course don't get to} is sleep, Ladies PLEASE, PLEASE pray for me !! I feel like crying alot of time. And the little bit I get to get on here is the ONLY adult/friendship (?) contact I have!! There's a few things going on with Roy and I, so when I say ONLY, I mean ONLY !!!!!

And even on here, I feel so alone and depressed !!! PLEASE pray for me !!!

I'm saying a prayer for you that you will be able to overcome your depression! Make sure you are eating healthy and diggin in the word!

Kelly - I have been going through some of the same things - depression, weight, etc. I am reading a book right now called Captivating by John and Staci Eldredge - (He wrote Wild at Heart) it is a Christian non-fiction book about the hearts of women and why we feel the way we do - it is taking me forever to read it 0- because I read a page and cry - because it's like they have read my mail!!! It's all about me and the way I feel - it is really helping me!!
The devil tells us we are the only ones who feel likes this everyone else in the world is happy and you are the only miserable soul in the world - it's a lie from the pit of hell -

Hello Kelly. :) (((((HUGS))))) Sending you bunches o' hugs. If you have read my testimony, you have read that I suffer from clinical depression (bi-polar). It is no fun, but I have learned more in the past (nearly) 8 years since I was diagnosed about depending on God than I did in the previous 32 years. I am enjoying getting to know you via the blogs here and will consider it a privelage to pray for you.

If your eating and sleeping have not been the healthiest, these could be strong reasons to have pushed you into a depression. If you have felt this way for longer than a few weeks and are eating healthy and getting enough sleep, then I would say it is probably time to go talk to a trained person. Ideally a Christian, but I wasn't able to find a Christian and went to a regular phychologist and God used my Doctor to help me. Meaning I feel sane most days! LOL I can't be 'cured' by anyone but God, and I do have bad days/weeks, but I am much better off than I was before I went to see someone. :)

Dear sister, you are not alone. I know it sometimes feels that way, but that is just fiery dart thrown by you know who.
I have battled depression off and own since my teens. God always brings me through. It is not always an easy trip, but there is much to learn from the journey. Remember in is through our trails that we learn to lean on God and grow stronger in our walk of faith. Stay in the Word, read it everyday. Pray and let God' abiding love comfort you.
I was really down tonight my self. At church this evening some of the ladies came and prayed with me. My church family is very important to me. I always wondered why one day things seem fine, the next they seem hopeless and nothing has really changed. Then I remembered that the Bible says we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. It also says we renew our minds by the reading of the Word. Hold on little sister. The dawn always shows back up again.


Nehemiah 8:10,
"Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Isaiah 12:3,
"Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation."

James 1:2,
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations."

John 10:10,
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

AFFIRMATION:
Depression is not a part of my makeup. I do not receive it. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I have exchanged the spirit of heaviness for the garment of praise. Isaiah 61:3, "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." Praise you, Jesus! In Jesus Name!
