Where we live, we get Philadelphia area news. The coverage of the Amish school massacre is near constant. I don't know if that's the way it is nationwide, of just here because it's so close.

Why would someone attack people like that? Innocent little kids... I just don't understand. It makes a person afraid to go out into the world

I guess that's all for now, Critter is waking up for lunch. I really need to learn to time this blogging thing a bit better. Right now, I need to go hug the baby.

I keep trying to write entries, get not even half way through them and have to stop for one reason or another. I think I'll jot down something quick and be happy with that!

I'm Joanna. I'm married to the wonderful E, we've got a black lab (the wonder pup) who will be 6 on Christmas and a daughter (Critter) who is 9 months old today! Life, in general, is very good. We live in a little house that sits two doors away from state woods. Our neighbors are, mostly, bear, deer, bunnies and geese (with a few feral cats thrown in for good measure!).

I'm new at this homemaker thing and I never really had any role models to learn from when I was growing up. I'm growing everyday, I think, and I hope I'm doing well. E says that I am, but he might just be trying to be nice.

I don't know if this is the place for me. I've had a livejournal for a couple of years now, but the people I find there don't really seem to be my kind of people. I'm hoping to find a place where I can learn, grow and have a little fun. I know LJ isn't that.

With that, I think this one is done. I need to get to lunch, wake up the baby and head out for some blood work. I've got surgery coming up next week and I've got to do the pre-admissions testing today.
