Raining is good for Reading!
I enjoy visiting the garden in the evenings and early in the morning. Both last night and this morning were very rainy, so I had to stay inside.
What should you do if you still want to be gardening while it is raining?
Read about gardening!
That is why I have a whole bookcase of gardening books and magazines. There is always plenty of reading material ready when I need it.
Of course it is good to read anything on a rainy day, and if you don't have a good book in mind, read from the greatest book of all time - The Bible!
Have a great and blessed day! I hope it stops raining this weekend so I can again go Out in The Garden!1>

you could eat the flowers of nasturtiums, thank you! It will make a pretty salad :-)
I really enjoy reading your blog! We're new to gardening, and then we hope to be new to canning as well. This year, we're chalking it up to one great experiment! We also started tomato's from seed and starters. I'm hoping it'll stagger the harvests enough to where we'll have plenty to eat for the season, as well as to can and store for winter. I thought I had a lot of tomatos until I read your blog, LOL.
Learned about that from reading! LOL

To make my point about the above post, I learned about nasturtiums from a book a long time ago. We grew them years ago, and added them to our salad. It was fun. Thank you for your kind words about my blog. Your blog is excellent! Lots of nature stuff - I like that! Good luck with the garden!

Hi there,
I like the book collection picture! Your garden looks great too..here is another book I use "Great Garden Formulas", it's a Rodale Organic Gardening book. I have found some great formulas for fighting off ailments and pests. I do mulch the whole garden. They look today like they need some food though. There are very few weeds, they mostly hide under the plant right at the base. There is cilantro and dill all over the place. It re-seeded everywhere this year and I didn't have the heart to pull all of it!
