Northeastern Poultry Congress show 2006

We attended the New England Poultry Congress show in West Springfield, MA this past weekend. It was a lot of fun as usual. We showed 5 of our Silkies, 2 Dominique hens, and 2 of our Narragansett turkeys. There were 5 Narragansett turkeys and 20 turkeys total shown this year... a pretty good turnout! Canonicus, our Narragansett tom, took BV, BB and Champion turkey. We are very proud of our boy! Here's a pic of him from the show:  Also, a photographer from Storey books was photographing poultry for a future book in the works, and took some nice professional photos of our two Dominique hens. Hopefully one of them will be picked to be in the book! Congratulations to all the winners at the show and thanks to everyone who worked hard to put together yet another great event. |
