How to Keep All Those Digital Photos Sorted

Posted on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 05:48 in Product Reviews

Speaking of digital cameras, digital photos and digital scrapbooking kits....  I have SO many of them on my computer, it's hard to keep up with them.  I found this awesome photo organizing software called ACDSee.  I use the ACDSee Photo Manager 10.  ACDSee has a great editing program within the Photo Manager software.  But what I like the best is the organizing features!  Not only can you organize your photos, but you can organize all of your digital scrapbook kits!!  It makes them all so easy to find.  You don't have to move them to this program, thus making duplicates of all your photos on your hard drive.  The program points to the My Pictures folder (or wherever your photos are stored, such as another hard drive, etc).

There are several tutorials that you can use to help you learn all of the wonderful things that this program can do.  This is one of my favorites:  http://www.digiscrapinfo.com/dsiwiki/DigiScrapInfo

Use the link below to try the software and use the tutorial site above to learn and use some of the cool features.  If you're like me, you'll probably have to get the software when the trial runs out.

You can download the software here for a free trial:

Scrapbook MAX! Digital Scrapbooking Software

I used to scrapbook with paper (and still will when time and space allows), but I've found a better way!  Digital Scrapbooking!  I have a digital camera, and I have all of these great pictures stored on my computer.  I hate to spend the money having them printed out, just so I can file them away in my power sorter box while they wait to be scrapped one day.  I downloaded a trial of this great software that allows you to easily create awesome digital scrapbook pages!  It is soooo easy.  I've tried a few other programs that I've had to uninstall after trying for hours to make a nice page, and eventually walking away with a headache.  I downloaded Scrapbook Max (they have a free trial) and it was so easy to use!  WIthin a week, I purchased the full software.  Then, shortly after, they came out with the Scrapbook Baby edition, which I ordered asap!  Scrapbook Max has so many options for printing and viewing your albums.  You can print the pages to be mailed to you in all the popular sizes, you can publish to a Photo CD, a Video CD (to be played on your TV), a Slideshow, your Screen Saver, a PDF file and more!  So many great options, more than any other software I've found.  You can use the software that comes with the program (which is alot), and you can use any of the many digital scrapbook kits that you can find online.

Here is a recent page that I did with Scrapbook Max

Homemade Soy Candles

Posted on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 05:03 in Product Reviews

I love beautifully fragranced things!  I'm a soapmaker, so I have a cabinet full of various fragrances.  I've tried my hand at candle making, but I just don't feel like I have the time or space to take on another hobby.  So, that's why I love Homeade Soy Candles!!  Sharon in Kentucky makes the most wonderful Homemade Soy Candles in so many lovely fragrances.  I also enjoy using her lovely electric tart warmers with the cute little tarts that she makes.

I've tried so many of Sharon's fragrances, and being a fragrance-a-holic as I am, it's difficult to choose my favorite.  I would have to say that the Orange Danish is probably right up there at the top of my list.  Then there's Holiday Harvest.  You pretty much can't go wrong with any of Sharon's candles, and believe me, I have alot of them.  Every candle I have tried smells just wonderful and has such a great fragrance throw (which means it will fill the entire room with the wonderful fragrance while you are burning it).

When you stop by to visit Sharon at Homeade Soy Candles, let her know that Jamie sent you.  Now, speaking of Orange Danish, I think I'll go get my matches and get that candle lit!

Country Blessings,
Jamie
