Removing Tub Ring

Posted on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 02:16 in House Cleaning

Regular dandruff shampoo will get rid of that black ring in your bathtub (or other spots in the tub). When the tub is dry, slather on the shampoo and let sit for an hour or more.  Scrub off and rinse well and your tub will be shiny!  You may have to repeat for really bad stains.

(I haven't tried this yet, if you try it before I do, let me know how it works)

Monday, March 10, 2008 - I will be trying this!!

Thank you! My husband and I live in an apartment in an old New England mill. Our water is full of mineral deposits - and probably chemicals from the old textile mills! - and I am forever scrubbing the tub! We have black rings, and PINK rings. If letting shampoo sit for an hour works, you will have made me a very, very happy woman. I will post a photo of my tub!
