No more February 29th for me

Posted on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 09:05 in Daily Life

This has been such a day of highs and lows.

When my  husband leaves for work this morning, he discovered that his gas can was missing and he smelled gas.  He heads out, then calls me and has me go check the gas lines on the 4 wheelers.  Sure enough, someone had cut the gas lines on 2 of the 4 wheelers and our mower and drained them into our gas can and took off with it.  They were right there by our back door and we didn't even know it.

Then, the Hughesnet guy shows up and installs my Satelite Broadband, yayyyyyyy!! I'm so excited about this as we've been stuck with dial up since moving here.

Then... my daughter who is 22, has a 1 1/2 yr old son and a daughter due in July or August, went to walmart to do some shopping.  Well, you know how when you have a toddler, alot of the time you give him/her a toy, or other gadget while in the cart just to keep them entertained while you are shopping?  She gives him a hair clippy to play with while she is looking for some hair color.  She checks out at the self check out, looks through the cart to make sure nothing else is in it, doesn't see the clippy so assumes that her son dropped it somewhere.  As she is leaving, the store personnel and a police officer take her into a room where they proceed to tell her she has shoplifted, all the while, she's freaking out, her son is balling.  Her son had dropped the clippy into a bag while she was checking out.  So, the policeman gave a her a $544.00 ticket and she is banned from walmart for 1 year!  Needless to say, they've lost my business.  I had just purchased a wireless router along with several other things.  I took them all back for a refund and went to target.  I am so angry!  Pray for my daughter and our family please.  She's pregnant and has high blood pressure, this is all she needs.

Anyway, I got home from target and installed my wireless router and I'm sitting here on my couch on the internet on my laptop!  I'm so excited about that.

Country Blessings,
Jamie

I can't believe someone would do this to the four wheelers, etc. Most likely a bunch of highschoolers looking for something to do. Who knows!

And the deal about your daughter??? OH MY!!!! I can't beleive they would accuse her of shoplifting a hair clip!!!! If it was an expensive item, maybe....but an item less than a few dollars??? COME ON PEOPLE!!!! I don't blame you for not wanting to do business with them anymore. How rediculous is that! I would suggest getting a lawyer on this!!!!! I will be praying for her!!

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

Wal Mart is CRAWLING with surveillance cameras. You have your attorney pull the tapes that show the baby putting it in the bag........and she will be proven innocent.

Sorry to read about your daughter's walmart situation.
