Souper Bowl Sunday
Each year at church, we have a Souper Bowl Sunday lunch. The men of the church prepare soups and chilis and are judged. The winner in each category gets the engraved silver ladle. My husband didn't win again, but his was the first chili gone.
Our pastor has open house on super bowl night and prepares lots of food for the church and we go to the parsonage and eat, then watch the game if we want. We didn't go this year because my son 'still' has the flu. He went to church today, because he hasn't had a fever since friday, then this afternoon, his temperature was 102.3. I started him on antibiotics today and will call the doctor if he isn't better in a day or 2. He's been sick now since Jan. 25th. We've been to the doctor last tueday, then again friday. Say a prayer for him if you don't mind.
We're sitting here watching the game, and I tell you, the commercials have been just stupid. I can't remember seeing a good one yet this year.
Country Blessings,
Jamie
