The Flu's in My House

Posted on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 09:36 in Health and Fitness

Well, the flu shot didn't help this year.  My son started running a low grade fever and coughing alot friday night, and again saturday night.  He seemed better sunday night, but monday evening his temp went up again and he started couging alot again.  Tuesday morning he still had a fever and was couging still.  Took him to the pediatrician and it's the flu.  She said that there are some strains that get through regardless of the shot, they just can't predict which strains will arrive in the US.  It is a very mild case.  I think my husband has it too, he's been having alot of the same symptoms.  I'm fine so far and pray that I can stay well.  Called the school and there are 3 other confirmed cases of flu at the school.  Say a prayer for us!

I hope your family is able to get over the flu quickly! It went around our house during Christmas through the beginning of January!
