Living the Simple Life

Monday Evening Thoughts

07:59, Monday, May 26, 2008 .. 1 comments .. Link

We spent Sunday at the home of some friends enjoying a cook out and ended up helping them put up an above ground pool. It went together pretty quickly and wasn’t as much of an ordeal that I had always heard they could be. I talked to my friend earlier today and she said it was taking a lot longer to fill with water than it did to put it up. I am sure they will enjoy it once the water is in and all warmed up, we enjoy a dip in the pond out here when it gets hot.

Today it was just my husband and I around here the kids had plans to attend some cook outs at friends so it was a pretty quiet day around here, and sometimes that can be a good thing. I got the laundry all caught up and even had a couple of hours to spend in the sewing room today. I am working on a block of the moth quilt at my home on the internet  OurCountryHaven.

I am behind the others on getting my blocks started and completed but I have busy working on baby quilts and nursery items so far this spring.

My husband and dogs are waiting on me to go with them for a run so I better get my running shoes on and get to moving, have a wonderful evening!

Hey There!

My, but what a busy person you are! You go, girl! :-)

Glad you all got home safely and that you seem to be slipping back into your regular patterns. There's comfort in the familiar, isn't there?

Love the quilt and LOVE the pic of your dog you put up a few days ago! What a sweetie...who can resist those little faces, when it comes to our animals. I've had both cats and dogs, but I must admit that I am more partial to dogs (good things, cos my dh and dd#2 are VERY allergic!).

Our Hickory (10 year old Sheltie) died of liver cancer in January and we got our Maggie (Miniature Schnauzer) puppy in February...she's almost 6 months old now and, like your dog, "rules the roost." She's all black except for a white spot on her chin and chest. We already love her so much.

Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><
