Living the Simple Life

What a beautiful day~

Today was a perfect, sunny day, lots of birds singing and a gentle breeze blowing. I spent the morning in the kitchen getting some baking and cooking done and then about noon I couldn’t possibly have taken being inside another moment, I escaped to the outdoors.

I cleaned out my small pond, as it had quite a bit of debris in it form the trees budding out, I also noticed we have a family of frogs that have taken up residence in the pond, I am glad they are enjoying their new home as it is nice to hear them singing at night. It is funny how when you are so busy with your day to day life and all of the coming and goings that we never stop and take the time to listen to the sounds that are all around us all of the time, that could soothe us and help us relax. I guess it is hard to imagine to some people to take the time out of their day to sit quietly under a tree and just listen to the breeze blowing and the crickets and the bird singing, but that is how I keep my self centered and relax, a nice glass of herb tea, a cool breeze and the sounds of the world as god meant them to be.  Have a wonderful evening.

I too would prefer to be outdoors...I love baking and cooking for my family, but any chance I get....outside I go.
