Living the Simple Life

A Sunny Tuesday Morning!

We are actually going to have a nice day as far as the weather goes here in IL today. I already have laundry in the washer so I can hang it outside to dry today.  There is nothing to compare with line dried laundry, at least not in my book anyway!

I am glad the weather is making a turn for the better, at least for a couple of days. I love to be outside puttering in the yard and working in my gardens. The seeds I panted a couple of weeks ago are just now poking their heads through the soil. It is still a bit to cold to set out any plants here but  hopefully the weather will start to co cooperate so we can once again get the gardens  in full swing. With the price of everything in the stores going up so dramatically, growing everything we can for ourselves is becoming more and more important.  The news of shortages and riots in other parts of the world has us worried, a person can think in the back of their mind that something like a riot over food could not happen here, but you never know what is coming around the next corner so it is best to have a full pantry and a plan as to how you are going to feed and take care of your family.
