It is Monday morning, the weekend is over (weekends are just too short) but the sun is actually shinning so that is a good thing. It has been a good many days since we had a sunny day here and if it has to a Monday morning I think we deserve a little sunshine.
My husband had a long weekend off and we enjoyed the quiet time immensely. He works for a local hospital and they keep him going most of the time so when he gets a long weekend off it really is a blessing.
I spent some time over the weekend working on a quilt top and got it all pieced together, now comes the hard work of quilting it. The quilt is a surprise for my daughter and her husband. They will be moving back here in May from Boston MA, and I wanted to make them a quilt as a surprise welcome home gift. I enjoy making things for my family and friends I think it goes along with an old saying that goes something like this; “When I give you something I make with my hands, I give you a piece of my heart.”
Have a great day and don’t forget to count your blessings! |
