Living the Simple Life

• Wednesday, April 2, 2008 - What a wonderful day!

The sun was shinning today and it was a welcome sight. I only wish it would warm up so I could get out into the gardens and get to planting. My husband says I have plenty to keep me busy but I am getting that itch to go out and dig in the dirt. Seems silly to some but there is no other smell that I can compare to the fresh turned ground in the spring, unless it would be the first cutting of the lawn. Oh well, I guess I will just have to be patient and wait it out sooner or later it will warm up!

We had some wonderful news last night, our daughter and son in law will be moving back to IL when the semester is finished up. Tyler, our son in law was accepted at a private college nearby where he can continue on with his pre law classes and Summer our daughter will be here at home when she gives birth, this is wonderful news!  She will be here at home so that we can give her a hand after the birth, she was nervous about being so far from home and being a first time mom; so I guess in the end problems always tend to work themselves out. Summer is calling tonight to tell her father also that she has a sonogram done this morning and we are to have a grandson! She made me promise not to tell him as she wants to deliver the news to her dad herself. My husband will probably go out and start buying sports equipment tomorrow, as he as always wanted a son!

Have a wonderful evening tonight!

I am so happy for you! A grandson! What blessed news. I also moved recently to be close to my older sister and my mom. I love it here and I am so glad that I moved.

Your comments about gardening made me think of The Good Earth book which I just finished. Congratulations on soon becoming a grandmother! Jill
