The Simple Woman’s Daybook for October 13, 2008
Thank you to Peggy at The Simple Woman for hosting this.
Outside My Window……. It is looking like it is going to be a cloudy day, there is a bit of fog hanging over the pond and it is looking more and more like rain.
I am thinking………that it seems hard to believe that Thanksgiving is 6 weeks away and Christmas is only 10! Where did this year go?
I am thankful for……. Peace and quiet after all of the chaos this weekend!
From the kitchen…… Banana muffins and a chocolate cake I baked this morning are cooling on the kitchen counter, and some bread dough is rising.
I am wearing……….a pair of cut off jean shorts and a red t shirt, no shoes and no socks for this country gal.
I am creating……Some new flannel shirts for my husband for Christmas gifts
I am going……. Nowhere this week till Friday I have to be in town for an appointment so I will be making my deliveries a day late this week to combine all my errands and save some gas.
I am reading….. Julia’s Last Hope by Janette Oke
I am hoping….. That this hot weather we have been having the past few days gives way top some more fall type weather. I love to garden, I love being outside but I have had enough summer weather already.
I am hearing…… Nothing but the chickens, clucking outside, no TV, no radio just quiet!
Around the house……. I let things slide this weekend, so you know what that means time to get up and chase some dust bunnies out the door this morning.
One of my favorite things is……. Listening to the frogs down at the pond singing in unison with the crickets at night.
A few plans for the rest of the week …… I have an appointment in town on Friday so I will be making my egg deliveries a day late to save on gas. Other than that I plan to do some deep house cleaning and some sewing of some Christmas gifts this week.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing……….
