The Simple Woman’s Daybook for September 15, 2008 Thank you to Peggy at TheSimpleWoman.blogspot for hosting this
Outside My Window……. The sun is just coming up over the horizon and it is a beautiful sunrise full of yellow, orange and red hues. The birds are beginning to sing and they are joining the chickens in a good morning song. I am thinking………About the devastation form hurricanes Ike and all of the families that have lost everything but, at least they still have each other. My heart goes out to them as they start the recovery process. I am thankful for…….My family, my friends, my home and especially for my husband who has a way of making the bad days better for me. From the kitchen……I have a chicken simmering in a pot for tonight’s supper and egg noodles drying on the counter, I am also beginning to smell the apple crisp I have in the oven for tonight’s desert. I am wearing……….A dark blue pair or sweat pants and a light blue t shirt and white socks on my feet (its chilly this morning) I am creating……Nothing and everything right now, I have the materials and such for several Christmas projects ready and waiting in the sewing room, and I better get busy because it’s not that long till Christmas. I am going……. to spend the day with my daughter and grandson, I can’t think of a better way to start the week! I am reading….. American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld I am hoping….. For a good report after my mammogram later on this week and for a few days of sunshine, we really need it after 4 days of rain. I am hearing……My daughter coming in the back door with my grandson, its going to be a great day! Around the house…….Everything is in pretty good shape I want to run the vacuum and dust my hardwood floors today. One of my favorite things is……. Flannel sheets on a cold night A few plans for the rest of the week ……I have to get my yearly mammogram done on Wednesday, it has been 2 years since my surgery and I al hoping for a good report. We are to go to some friends on Friday night for a pizza party and other than those two things just a bit more freezing and canning to do to finish up the harvest. Here is a picture thought I am sharing……….
