Tuesday Morning thoughts

Good Morning, so far it has been a quiet day here; goodness knows how long that will last! We had a very rainy and chilly day yesterday and the temperatures fell all day so we had our first fire of the season last night. It was just a small one in the fireplace in the family room but it sure did feel great.

I have plenty to keep me busy this week as the grapes are finally ready to be picked and the apples are just about ready also. I hate to let anything go to waste with food prices being so high so I will be canning apple pie filling and apple sauce very soon.

I went into town this past weekend to do some shopping, I usually only go about once a month, and talk about sticker shock! A 5 pound bag of flour at Aldi’s was $1.89 I can remember at the first of this year it was only $0.59 a bag. It is a good think we have been stocking up on bulk wheat berries and such because that is way too high for white flour that’s for sure.
