Here it is Saturday evening and I haven’t had time to post here for several days. My days and nights have been filled with taking care of my daughter Summer who is very large and very uncomfortable right now; she is pregnant with out first grandchild and is due on September 1st. Summer time is not the time to be large and pregnant, as many of us well know; but she only has a little over a month to go and I just keep thinking we are on the downhill slide now. Things are moving along in getting dads estate settled, his upstairs tenant approached our lawyer about buying the house and the paperwork is going through pretty fast. I was surprised that we had a buyer so soon considering the market but, I am glad to be able to sell the house as I did not have nay desire to be responsible for the apartments. It is hard to sort through all his belongings but I know it is a job that has to be done and that is what I keep telling myself on the hard days. The garden is starting to really produce and in between everything that has been going on around here Summer and I have been canning, freezing and dehydrating. I love the feeling of having a full pantry come fall and knowing we have provided for ourselves, it makes the work of all of the gardens and canning well worth it. Have a wonderful evening and a great weekend!
