Yummy Pie Recipe!

This recipe is one I came up with myself when I had a *craving* for a Peanut Butter Pie like the one my Mama and I used to have at Maas Brothers in Clearwater, FL near the causeway to the beach. They had a lovely restaurant on the top floor and it was so nice to stop in for a little repast when finished with our shopping expedition!
Cynthia Robin's Peanut Butter Pie
Bake an empty pie crust according to package directions; cool thoroughly.
When cool, spread a thin layer of crunchy peanut butter over the bottom of the crust.
Prepare 1 envelope of Dream Whip according to package directions. Beat into that 1 8-ounce package of softened cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar (or Splenda). Beat in 1 cup of crunchy peanut butter.
Pour into prepared crust and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours (overnight is better), covered. Before serving, lightly drizzle chocolate syrup (I use Hershey's) over the top in a zig-zag pattern or however you wish. I also serve with whipped topping on each slice.
This has become a staple during the various holidays in my home! Enjoy!
