... and then we can all get some good ideas from this blog. I've posted mine to a previous post, but will copy it again here. I will be giving some of my homemade artisan soaps for Christmas gifts. I'm also making 5 gallon pails of gel-type laundry soap for my grown kids as part of their Christmas gift. We are getting new bright, white pails with lids for them marked with their names and a big red and green bow. When they run out it will be easy for me to make them another batch when they give me back their pail. I love gifts that are practical. They will be heavy though! My hubby cross-cut smallish tree limbs for me in a rough oval shape. The 'slices' are about 3/8 inch thick and I'm going to paint a little winter scene on them and date them to give as Christmas gifts, also. I've always given each daughter and grandchild a dated ornament each year. I plan on giving them to friends and co-workers, as well. Hopefully, from this year on, each ones I give will be ones I make. To me, that makes it even more special. I have made ones I've painted in years' past, but it has been quite a while. Please add your ideas as comments here for all to read. I will post a new entry every once in a while to refer back to this original post so we can get lots of ideas. I hope this works and gives all lots of great frugal ideas!!! God's Blessings,Rita Jo :-) |
