2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. bananas (2 lge. or 3 sml. - overripe preferred)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt into bowl. Cut in shortening. Add eggs, bananas, and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with mixture of 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 4 dozen
