Saturday, I did 2 loads of laundry, made the bed, did the dishes and Dave and I took the kids to Lakemont Park to see the Lights on the Lake. They were really pretty. We go every year, but this is the first year both the kids stayed awake the whole time, LOL. It is mostly the same every year, but they always have some new things. We just enjoy spending time together as a family. Afterwards, we went into the building to see Santa. There was a little boy in front of us, and he kept naming stuff he wanted. Santa said, "I'm going to have to work overtime for you!" When Cameron and Emily got up there, Cameron handed Santa a booklet full of Star Wars toys and said the whole booklet was his list. It was more of a fold-out paper from another toy he had gotten. Santa looked at Dave and said, "The Force is strong in this one." LOL Cameron kept naming Star Wars characters he wanted. He said, "Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewy, Darth Vadar..." Santa lookd at Emily and said, "And what do you want?" All she said was, "Strawberry Shortcake." He said, "And what about Blueberry Muffin?" She said, "Ok." LOL When they went to leave, Santa gave them each a coloring page and a lollipop, and then he looked at Cameron and said, "May the Force be with you!" Cameron said, "Thanks." After we were done there, we went to Ponderosa to eat, because Dave had a B1G1 buffet coupon. Yum!! Sunday, the weather was supposed to be bad, so Dave said he would take me to work. We went and got Ang, then we went to Giant Eagle to get our newspapers. When we got to work, I realized I didn't bring my store key, so Gail had to come up and open. My thought was that since Dave was driving, I wouldn't need my keys, not even thinking that my store key was on the same keychain as my car keys. Oh, well. At least Gail lives close! Dave called me at work to tell me his niece's ballet recital was changed to the night of Emily's party, so I would either have to change the night or no one would be there. I was very angry. I thought about NOT changing it, but it wouldn't be fair to Emily to have no one come to her party. Poor kid! Monday, I made the bed, then I made French toast for breakfast. We went and got my check cashed, then got gas in the truck. I had $1.20 off per gallon, so we paid $1.89 a gallon. Dave got 30 gallons into his truck. Every little bit helps! Then we went to get water and salt. Dave wanted to go to Wal-mart because "he can never think of anything to put in my stocking." I don't know why he thinks I'm such a difficult person to shop for. If yu walk into Bath & Body Works, close your eyes and grab something off the shelf, I am going to love it! So we go into the makeup/bath and body sections at Wal-mart and he told me to point at all the stuff I liked. I just pointed at everything. I told him to pick a few things and I would love them. Duh! I am the LEAST picky person on the planet! I didn't know we were going to be going to Wal-mart, so I didn't have my coupons. It was very hard for me. LOL On the way home, Dave said he wanted to go to Backyard Burger for lunch. YUM! We saw my Aunt Betty and Uncle Darl there. When we got home, I did the dishes, went through all my coupons and threw away the expired ones, cut out the new coupons and made my list. Dave and Cameron went outside to play in the snow. Emily got all dressed to go out too, but she took 1 step in the snow, screamed and came back inside. LOL I had used all of my eggs on the French toast that morning, and I had been saving my eggshells, so I baked them until they were dried out, then I crunched them up. I will be able to put them in my garden this spring. It snowed Monday night and some on Tuesday, so it was nice and yucky and cold outside. The roads were ok, except for up here. For some reason, they don't plow up here unless they absolutely HAVE to. Dave took Cameron to the bus stop, and I made the bed and then went shopping. First we went to CVS. I spent $4.60, and I got 2 12-packs of Pepsi,4 2-liters of Pepsi products, a bag of Doritos, a bag of Hershey kisses and a pack of Twizzlers for Emily. I used $4/$20, I had $1 coupons for both of the 12-packs and I had $10 EBs. But I didn't get the $7.50 EBs I was expecting, so I looked on my reciept and I still needed to spend $1.57. So I had my mom run back and get me another 2-liter while I stood in line again. So I spent another $1.80 and I got my EBs. And now I have all the pop for Emily's birthday party. We went to COuntry View Market next, and I was very good. All I needed was cream of tartar, and that's all I got! Then Giant Eagle. I spent $52.74, and I got a 5-pack of Kraft macaroni and cheese, a cake mix for Emily's birthday party, a Nestle hot cocoa mix, 2 boxes of Honey Maid graham crackers, a dozen eggs, 2 loaves of bread, 2 1/2 gallons of milk, a carton of ice cream for Emily's party, 15 cans of Campbell's soup, a Barilla pasta sauce, a box of Barilla pasta, 2 bags of Lays potato chips for Emily's party, some blackberries and raspberries, a can of Betty Crocker icing for Emily's cake, a bag of chicken tenderloins, 2 packs of sausage links, a pack of pork chops, a 6-pack of Yoplait yogurt, and a bottle of Hershey's syrup. But the guy didn't take my coupon off my pork chops, so I will take it up next time I go there. When I got home, I put all my groceries away, then I paid the bills and balanced the checkbook, did the dishs twice and made cabbage rolls for supper. Yesterday was a nasty weather day. I took Cameron to the bus stop, and I went 3 MPH. Ok, so I freak out more than the average person... I was going to clean my car off and leave early to go to my mom's house, when she called and asked if I wanted my dad to come get me. Duh! I did the dishes and made the bed, then he came, so Emily and I got in the car and I got dropped off at work, and Emily got dropped off at school. Work was SO slow! I loved it! When I was ready, I called Dave to come get me. For supper I made chicken strips and mashed potatoes. My mail has been ok. I got a $3.25 rebate from Healthy Ones, an Always pad sample and coupon, a Christmas card from Dave's work full of coupons, a booklet, some address labels, a Christmas card from my Aunt Ella, some herb seeds, a Proctor and gamble t-shirt and a garnier Nuritioniste sample. <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
