***May we take time to pause today and say a special prayer
of thanks for all those who have served and are serving in the
military. May God bless all!
--------
Some of us have the special blessing of gazing at the ocean
and feeling our spirit renewed each day. The ocean is
mighty and powerful and reminds us of the mighty power
of our Maker, especially in our times of trouble.
Not all of us have a view of the ocean, though. Many of
us have to rely on pictures for that.
But, all of us have the sky! And, as we watch the expanse
of the sky we are filled with awe at all it contains. The
sky stretches all the way to the heavens reminding us that
the love of God is infinite and far more than we could
possibly imagine. When looking at the sky we are reminded
that every morning there is a sunrise, and every evening there
is a sunset. Every day is new.
When we see God's handiwork, we are filled with the hope
that God is near. He will care for us always. In our pain,
He draws us close and He will never allow us to be lost in
this universe. Just as He knows every twinkling star, He
knows us by name, too. He knows our thoughts, our sorrows,
our heartaches, and He cares deeply for us.
Look at the sky and be filled with hope for a better tomorrow.
Look at the sky and know that you are never alone. Look at
The sky and feel the peace that it gives knowing we are under
the shelter of His wings. Look at the sky, and believe that
God is near. Look at the sky, and know that with God all will
be well. Look at the sky, and be at peace! -Clara Hinton
