On Monday, Dave got up early and went with his friend Duane to put a roof on someone's house. Emily and I took Cameron to the bus stop. It was blue shirt day in his school! When we got home, I washed and hung a load of laundry, made the bed and did the dishes. then we went to get gas in my car and get my paycheck cashed. When we got back, I painted Emily's fingernails and toenails and made Cocoa krispie treats. Then I scrubbed both bathrooms. We picked Cameron up from the bus stop and he had his school pictures with him. They are very nice. He also got a new library book and a drug-free ribbon. When we got back I cut out my coupons. For supper I made garlic and herb chicken and roasted potatoes. Then I made my shopping list. Tuesday, Dave and Emily took Cameron to the bus stop, but no one told me goodbye and I didn't get a kiss from Cameron, so I ran after them. It was slipper day in school, but since the weather was yucky, we just put them in his backpack for him to wear once he got to school. Then my mom came and it was time to go shopping. OUr first stop was CVS. I spent $1.56, and I got 3 eyeliner pencils. Then we stopped at Wal-mart. I got a set of cookie cutters, a gift card for my MIL's birthday and an All You magazine. Then we went to Giant Eagle. I did 2 orders because of the Heinz gravy deal. My first order was 75 cents. I got 3 jars of Heinz gravy and 2 bags of Ore-Ida roasted potatoes. I was supposed to get a $5 coupon off my next order, but I didn't, so I went to customer service and they gave me a $5 gift card. My next order was $61.24, and I got a bottle of juicy Juice, a card for my friend Chuck who is in the burn unit in Pittsburgh, 4 betty Crocker warm delight minis, 3 Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables, 3 cups of Breyers yogurt, a Lunchables for Cameron, a loaf of bread, a box of Ronzoni macaroni, 3 bags of No Yolks noodles, 2 bags of Kraft Bistro Deluxe macaroni and cheese, 8 bags of Sargento shredded cheese, 3 jars of heinz gravy, 5 boxes of Jello pumpkin pudding, 10 cans of Libby vegetables, a box of Ronzoni spaghetti, 2 bags of Ore-Ida roasted potatoes, a box of sliced mushrooms, 3 gallons of milk, a pack of lunchmeat ham, and a box of Hormel pepperoni. I got the $5 coupon that time, so I don't know what went wrong the first time. When we got back, I put my groceries away, and we got Emily ready. It was picture day for her. She would not smile. She had a little grin on her face the whole time, like they weren't going to make her smile. What a kid! We stopped at my mom's house on the way home so we could get the chocolate cake she wanted to give us. We were hungry by then, so we stopped at a little place called Bonnie Faye's. The food was good, but the lady was S-L-O-W!!!! When we got home, we went to get Cameron at the bus stop. Then I took a little nap. Afterwards I did the dishes, gave the kids their baths and made pizza for supper. Wednesday morning, when Dave got up for work, we thought we heard Emily running toward our bedroom. But she stopped. Dave went to look for her. He found her by the garbage can. She said she thought she had to throw up. But she didn't--she got the diarrhea and couldn't make it to the bathroom in time. I got her clothes all cleaned up and helped her put new ones on. I got the kids dressed and we walked Cameron to the bus stop. It was red shirt day in school. When I got back, I made the bed and did the dishes. Emily still wasn't feeling well. She had to change her clolthes again, and all she wanted to do was lay on my bed. I wanted to stay home with her, but of course I had to go to work. So I took her to my mom and dad's house. We asked her if she wanted to go to school or stay home, and she said she wanted to go to school. Then I went to work. I got a bunch of those plastic storage containers with the drawers in them, to organize my cookie cutters. The night crew had priced them at $7.50, and I bought all of them. I knew it was a good price, bt I didn't realize how good! I looked online, and at Target they are $21 each. But these were originally from Office Deopt. I looked on their website, and the exact ones I got are $55 each there!! So I got a GREAT deal! I also bought a pack of English muffins for $1 and a bag of bagels for $1.25. For supper I made ham and macaroni and cheese. Thursday, I took Cameron to the bus stop. It was hat day for him. When I got back, I did the dishes, made the bed and did 2 loads of laundry. then I spent the rest of the day putting cookie cutters into those containers I bought. I got most of what I wanted done, but I will need more containers. Then it was time to go get Cameron. On the way to the bus stop, we saw Dave driving up the street. So we waited for him to park the truck and join us. When we came back, the man across the street brough some candy and popcorn balls over for the kids. I wraped MIL's birthday gift and made her a card. I made BBQ pork and mashed potatoes for supper, and we got the kids ready and went trick-or-treating. My mom had given me stuff to give them, since she and my dad went to Texas to visit my brother and his family. They gave them each a little notebook and pen, and a whole bag of M&Ms. While I was trying to get supper ready, Dave's sister came over with my niece and they gave the kids some candy. First we went to MIL's house. She gave them some Scooby Snacks and some assorted candy. Next, we went to my work, where they got enough to give an entire country a sugar high. They got pies and lollipops, gummy candy, chips, and Gail got them McDonald's coupons. Next was my grandmother's house, where luckily she didn't go overboard. They each got a Mallow cup and a handful of candy. Then we went to my mom's neighbors, the Giant Eagle and Dave's friend's. That was plenty. They were worn out, especially since at my work, my friend Steve played with them. Cameron was a soldier and Emily was Strawberry Shortcake. Yesterday, I took Cameron to the bus stop. It was school shirt day! Then I made the bed, did the dishes and took Emily to school. I relaxed for a little while until it was time to pick Emily up from school. Then I had to go to work. Dave was home by then. Cameron had a Halloween costume parade in school, so Dave and my MIL went to watch him and my niece. He had a good time, I think. Dave made spaghetti for supper. YUM! We ate in front of the TV and watched a movie. This week in the mail, I got a $10 Kelloggs rebate, 2 magazines, the sale paper, a L'Oreal Vive sample pack, a Curel sample, the Taste of Home baking book I ordered, a Sunsilk sample pack, a $3.59 rebate from Stayfree and a $27 check from Central PA Imaging--apparently I overpaid when I paid the amount on the bill they sent me... <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
