Oh my goodness, I cannot believe how much time has passed since I have updated my blog! I I haven't been online much at all. LAST Monday, we took Cameron to the bus stop, then I made the bed, and we went and got my check cashed. Emily likes to go inside with me at the bank, because she gets to pick out a lollipop. She usually gets one for Cameron too. This time I turned around and she had 2 in each hand! I said, "Emily Noelle! You can't take 4 lollipops! What are you doing?" She said, "2 are mine, 2 are Cameron's." I said, "No, you put 2 back." When I looked, she was putting Cameron's both back. I said, "Emily, you keep 1 for you and 1 for Cameron." I saw her picking out 1 for Cameron, but when I ut her in the car, I noticed that she still had both of hers. Kids! Then we went to Home Depot and Lowe's. Dave was looking for a drain for in our shower stall, but we had no luck. We stopped at King's and ate lunch. Then I had to go to work. My nephew Logan wanted a dragon costume for halloween, so I found one for him at work. I took Emily's sandwich paper to work, and we sold a bunch! When I got home, I cut my coupons and made my list. There was an accident at the paper mill. There was a chemical leak. They evacuated the paper mill, and they thought about evacuating the houses around there, but they got it contained. 2 guys were hurt, one of them with second and third degree burns over 60-65% of his body. Last Tuesday, we walked Cameron to the bus stop. He had a field trip! They went to a tree farm! When we got back it was time for my mom and I to go shopping! First we went to CVS. I spent 97 cents. I got a 3-pack of Irish Spring soap, 2 children's Tylenol, 2 children's Tylenol cold, 2 bags of Halls herbal cough drops and 4 boxes of Halls Pro-Helath cough drops. Then we stopped at Weis. My mom had 2 coupons for $1 off any order and she didn't want to waste them. I got 2 bags of snacks for Cameron and Emily to take to school on their snack days. I got animal cookies. I was going to stock up on cheese, but the girl wouldn't double my coupons, so I had her take it all off my order. They are really stingy with coupons there! Then we went to Giant Eagle, where I spoent $60.14! That is a LOT more than I usually spend! But I got some good deals! I got a 2-liter of Lipton Brisk iced tea, 5 halloween cookie cutters, a pack of Idahoan mashed potatoes, a jar of Barilla pasta sauce, 3 boxes of Mrs. Paul's fish, a Duncan Hines frozen brownies, 2 boxes of Duncan Hines brownie mix, 4 boxes of Cookie Crisp cereal, 2 boxes of Cocoa Puffs cereal, a box of Barilla pasta, a loaf of Schwebel's bread, 8 bags of Kraft shredded cheese, a block of cream cheese, a box of garbage bags, 3 cans of Quaker oats, 2 1/2 gallons of milk, 2 Oscar Mayer Deli Creations, a pack of ground beef, a whole chicken, a pack of chicken thighs and 7 packs of chicken drumsticks. Normally I wouldn't buy that much chicken at one time, but they were marked $1.22-$1.88 and they had $1 coupons on them, so I really paid 22-88 cents! When we got back, Dave had a bag of tomatoes and peppers. I asked him where they came from, and he told me our neighbor Pat gave them to us. Dave asked him where he got them,a dn he said he took them out of our other neighbor John's garden! Dave asked John if he wanted them back, but he told us o go ahead and keep them. John told Dave that he told Pat he could have a few tomatoes and peppers if he needed them, but one day, John's daughter went to the garden to get a few, and Pat was filling a 5-gallon bucket with them, and he told John's daughter there weren't any more for her. What nerve! Then we walked down to the bus stop to get Cameron. We put up the cornstalks that Dave's mom gave us out of her garden, then we picked all the tomatoes off the plants and pulled the plants. I had 2 big baskets full of tomatoes! Then we gave the kids a bath. For supper that night I made BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. Last Wednesday, Cameron had a hissy fit because he didn't want to get dressed or go to school. But it was his snack day, so he eventually did get ready, adn Emily and I walked him down to the bus stop. When we got back, I washed and hung a load of laundry, did the dishes, made Kool-Aid, made the bed, made bread crumbs, took Emily to my mom and dad's house and went to work. Dave made supper for me that night. We had spaghetti. Last Thursday, I made cinnamon rolls, and then got everyone ready and walked Cameron to the bus stop. When we got back, I did a load of laundry and hung up that one plus the one my mom had done the night before. Then I did the dishes and made the bed. I took Emily to the Giant Eagle because it was Grocers Fight Cancer day, and they had 1-day specials. I spent $20.25, and I got 2 Bounty 8-packs, 3 10-pound bags of potatoes, a Pillsbury cookbook that I didn't need, 2 loaves of Schwebel's bread, 3 bags of onions and 5 packs of chicken drumsticks. They were even cheaper than the last ones I bought, but I didn't have room in my freezer, so I gave them to my mom and grandmother. Then Emily and I went to my mom and dad's house. I talked to them a little bit, then I had to go to work. For supper, I had fish and homemade macaroni and cheese. Last Friday, there was no school! It was a nice break. I washed and hung a load of laundry, did the dishes, made the bed. My mom and dad were going to watch the kids, but Dave came home right before I was getting ready for work. My mom and dad came over anyway, because my mom was going to cut the kids' hair. Then I had to go to work. Dave and I watched his friend's kids, Brittany and Addison. They are really good. For supper, I made hickory-smoked tuna melts. Last Saturday, I washed and hung a load of laundry, made the bed, did the dishes and started peeling the tomatoes. Then my mom came over and we made and canned 12 pints of pizza sauce! After my mom went home, I vacuumed, then I made a batch of mint lip balm. We went to my niece Meagan's 16th birthday party. We had a redneck bonfire--in an old wheelbarrow! We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and we all sat around and talked. Sunday morning, I went and got Ang, then we stopped and got our newspapers and went to work. Monday, we walked Cameron to the bus stop, then I made the bed, did a load of laundry, made some apple harvest bake and did the dishes. I also put the jars of pizza sauce away. Then we went to Cameron's school. There was a parents' lunch! It was so fun to eat lunch in the cafeteria with Cameron, even though the food is nasty! Then I had to go to work. I was late, but they knew I would be. Wehad ordered hoagies from meagan, and my SIL Sue dropped them off, so I stopped at McDonald's for the kids. It was a nice dinner. Then I made the kids' beds, because I had washed their sheets. I cut out my coupons and made my list. Tuesday morning, I made cinnamon rolls and we got the kids ready and took Cameron to the bus stop. Then I made he bed, did the dishes and my mom and I went shopping. We stopped at CVS first, and I spent $2.27. I got a children's Dimetapp, a L'Oreal eyeliner pencil, a Make It and Bake It jewelry set for in Emily's stocking, a Milani lip gloss, a Wet N Wild eyeshadow set, a bottle of Keri lotion, a bottle of Palmolive dish liquid, a Revlon eye shadow, 3 tubes of Colgate Max Fresh Burst toothpaste, a Revlon Renewist lipstick, and a Lady Speed Stick 24/7 deodorant. We went to Barnes and Noble just to look around, and I got a Halloween recipe book. We went to Fox's for lunch! Yum!! Then we went to Giant Eagle. I spent $43.47. I got a bag of tortilla chips, a bottle of apple cider, a box of Betty Crocker Fruit Stackerz, 4 packs of Tic Tacs, a Nestle Crunch Crisp, 3 Duncan Hines frostings, 3 Duncan Hines cake mixes, a SoftSoap hand soap, 2 boxes of Betty Crocker mashed potatoes, 4 cans of Campbells tomato soup, 5 cans of Cambell's chicken noodle soup, 2 cans of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, 2 packs of coffee, a bag of boneless skinless chicken breasts, 7 boxes of Green Giant frozen vegetables, 2 packs of Kraft mozzarella sticks, 2 packs of M&Ms, a block of Kraft cream cheese, 12 Yoplait yogurt cups, 3 cans of Pillsbury crescent rolls, 2 cans of Pillsbury pizza crust, a bottle of canola oil, and 3 gallons of milk. When we got back and I had put all the groceries away, Dave, Emily and I went to Get Go to get gas in the truck. I have to go, because Dave can never get my card to scan. His truck was on E. Big time! We filled the truck up, 30 gallons, for $41.97. We paid $1.39 a gallon with my Fuel Perks. Not bad! Then we went to MIL's house to get a barrel that Dave needed, and we stopped at my mom's house because I had accidentally gotten some of her groceries, so I dropped them off. Then we had to go back to get Cameron. HE is selling stuff for school. he also got in trouble, probably for talking.. For supper, we made pizza and crescent ghosts. Then I gave Emily a shower. Wednesday, I woke up a little late, so we had to hurry. We walked to the bus stop, then we came home and i made the bed and did the dishes. I took Emily to my mom and dad's house and went to work. it was Emily's snack day AND her sandwich money was due. She actually danced with her class! She was so shy at first she wouldn't, but they finally got her to open up a little! For supper, we had pork chops, teriyaki rice and corn. Thursday, i was feeling stressed out already, so Cameron's major hissy fit did not help. He WOULD NOT get dressed. He had a fit because I surprised him with a new Shrek toothbrush, but he wanted his old car one back. He screamed and cried. He had me to the point where I was on the verge of tears. We were SOOOO late already and he STILL wasn't dressed. FINALLY, when I got him dressed, we walked outside, only to watch the bus pull away from the bus stop. I made him RUN down there, because she has to turn around and come back, so I was hoping she would stop for him. She did. Thank God, because if I had to take him to work, I probably would have screamed at him the whole way. I did scream at him the whole way to the bus stop. I said such mean hateful things. I still feel bad. I told him I hated him. He was crushed. I was crushed after I said it. I spent the morning thinking, and I decided I work WAY too many hours. I work 43 hours a week, and the only time I get to see Cameron is in the morning and during supper, and 3/4 of that time I am yelling at him or bossing him around. That is not good. And on my 2 days off, I am busy catching up on housework, etc, so I don't get to spend much time with him then either. I did the dishes and my SIL called. We talked for a little while, then I had to go. I took Emily to my mom and dad's house and went to work. I talked to Gail about my hours, and she came up with a solution. I am not sure yet if I am going to like this solution, but I am willing to give it a try. She will let me drop Mondays and Thursdays, BUT (this is a BIG but), if Sarah calls off on 1 of those days, I have to come in until 5:00. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but Sarah calls off more than she shows up. We will see. I am giving up my health insurance, paid vacations and holidays, etc. to be part-time, but if I give all that up and STILL end up working full-time hours, I will be looking for a new job with part-time hours! For supper I made garlic lime chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes. Yesterday, I washed and hung a load of laundry, and Emily and I took Cameron to the bus stop. We had a good morning. I did most of the dishes, put supper in the crockpot, made a pudding pie ( the new pumpkin-flavored pudding!!), and took Emily to my mom and dad's. Emily went to school, and my mom and I went to a few yard sales. I got a snowman plate, and 2 Christmas pillows, 2 puzzles for the kids, and a Samsonite travel bag. My friend Katrina brought my Avon order while we were gone. Then I had to go to work. In the mail I have gotten 10 magazines, a calendar, the Popcorn Factory tin I ordered, the Dale & Thomas popcorn I ordered, 2 sale papers, a $10 survey check, 2 samples of Olay definity, a Stayfree coupon, a bottle of conditioner for a product test, a Kashi cookie sample, a Dora toothbrush, a Shrek toothbrush, a letter from Ashley, a pedometer and exercise DVD <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
