Monday, we went and got my check cashed, got water and fed the ducks and fish at the Spring Dam. Dave wanted to go in town, so we stopped at Dunhams and Toys R Us. I had 2 $3 gift cards for Toys R Us, so we let the kids each pick out something small. They were so excited that they got to pay for their stuff all by themselves!! Dave was hungry for KFC for lunch, so we went there. Cameron lost one of his Star Wars guys that he took in, and he had a big hissy fit and didn't want to leave. We had looked for it and Dave even moved the booth out a little bit, but it was nowhere to be found. I told him not to take it in, but he didn't listen and I explained that to him. He cried most of the way home, but then he calmed down. When we got home, I had to go to work. I took in a jar of pear jam for Steve, who made up little samples on crackers for everyone. They all loved it! When I went out to my car, I found another box of pears. When I got home, I did the dishes. We had hot dogs and sauerkraut for supper. Then my mom called to tell me that my Uncle Kenny passed away. He was actually my great uncle, my grandmother's brother. But he was a really cool guy. After i got off the phone with her, I cut out my coupons and made my list. Tuesday morning, I made the bed, then Dave and I went shopping with the kids. My mom and dad went away in the morning, so Dave had to take me. We didn't want to go too many places with the kids, because sooner or later one of them will have a hissy fit. We went to CVS first. I spent $1.56. I got a pack of Kotex pads, a pack of chocolate coins for Cameron, a pack of rainbow Twizzlers for Emily, a Reese's peanut butter cup for Dave, 3 Maybelline Superstay lip glosses, a pack of Serenity pads which I gave to my grandmother, a Samy hairspray, a Johnson's body wash, a Johnson's lotion, and 2 Softsoap bodywashes. We got the lady that accused my mom and me of coupon fraud once before, and this time she took of my EBs, and she said, "Do you want to get something else? Your total is $9.23 and you will be able to use this $10 EB." I said, "No, I would like for you to use my manufacturer's coupons now." So she did, but she wasn't very happy about it. I think she wanted to waste all my EBs! Oh well. I still had around $18 EBs left, and I got $19 EBs on my reciept. I also got a free tote bag for buying the Maybelline products! Then we went to Giant Eagle. I spent $46.03. I got 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of Hershey's syrup, 6 cans of Spaghettios, a 6-pack of Musselman's applesauce, 6 packs of Tic tacs, a 12-pack of the mini bottles of water, a pack of T-bone steaks, a Yo Crunch yogurt, 2 pounds of butter, 4 V-8 Splash juices, a pack of ground beef, a pack of pork chops and 2 1/2 gallons of milk. When we came home, I washed and hung a load of laundry, and I did the dishes. I went out to the garden and picked a basket full of vegetables. We had grilled T-bone steaks and mashed potatoes for lunch. Then I did the dishes again. I peeled my huge pile of tomatoes, then my mom came over and we made and canned salsa. It was SO good! For supper I made pork chops, rice and peas. I gave Emily a bath and did the dishes AGAIN. Then I made pearsauce (like applesauce, but with pears). Wednesday was Cameron's first day of school!! I made the bed, got everyone up, made sure they got dressed and that Cameron had his lunch and backpack. Then we walked to the bus stop. Cameron was talking to some other kids at the bus stop, and when the bus came, he just got on--no goodbye, no kiss, nothing. Emily and I walked back to the house and I did the dishes, labeled the pearsauce and put it in the freezer. I got supper started in the crockpot. Then I took Emily to my mom and dad's house and went to work. For supper we had pot roast with onions, potatoes and carrots. After supper, Dave took Cameron to bed and read him some stories, and I took Emily to her bed and we sang songs and read stories. Then I did the dishes and made everyone's lunch for Thursday. Thursday, I got Cameron some breakfast, got everyone up and dressed, then we walked to the bus stop. Emily and I walked back home after Cameron's bus left, and I got Emily some breakfast, watered the garden, and got supper in the crockpot. I also peeled some potatoes, put them in a pot, covered them with water and put them in the fridge. Then I took Emily to my mom and dad's house and went to work. It rained a lot Thursday. For supper we had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. When I got home Dave told me that Cameron had left his lunchbag on the bus. He was really upset. Yesterday morning, we got everyone up and dressed, I made Cameron some breakfast and we walked to the bus stop. As soon as the bus driver pulled up, she held up Cameron's lunchbag. He said, "I was looking all over for that!" I took it home with me, because I had put his lunch in another bag. After the bus left, Emily and I walked back home and I did the dishes, made the bed, took Emily to my mom and dad's house and went to work. I had to go early because I was opening the store. Steve gave me another box of pears. When I got home, I found out that Cameron forgot his lunchbag AGAIN. Now I am getting a little mad about it. This time it was just a grocery bag, but my sandwich container was in it!! I yelled a little bit. For supper we had ham and au gratin potatoes. Emily got sick right before supper, so Dave got her and the floor cleaned up while I was finishing up supper. She fell asleep, and I figured she wouldn't be hungry anyway, so Dave took her back to her bed. Cameron fell asleep right away after we ate. So Dave and I watched a movie and ate apples with caramel dip. In the mail this week I have gotten a letter from my friend Ashley, a magazine, the sale paper, a Johnson's coupon which i gave to my mom, a booklet, some K'Nex and the mousepad I ordered for my dad for Christmas. It has all 3 of his grandkids on it. I hope he likes it. <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
