On Wednesday morning, I did the dishes and went to work. When I came home, I watered the garden. There were (and still are) a TON of blossoms on my tomato plants! For supper that night I made pork chops, rice and peas. Thursday, I waterd the garden, and a lot of my potato plants were coming up! Then I made the bed and went to work. On the way to work, I hit a chipmunk with my car. :( I got over it by lunchtime. We got in this really cool kind of basil at work--clove basil! I had b=never heard of it before, but it was only $1 for a cell pack, so I bought some. For supper that night I made tuna casserole, and I used the leftover peas from the night before! Friday, I planted my new basil. There were 4 plants in the pack, but I only planted 3, and I saved the other one for my mom. Then I watered the garden, did the dishes, made the bed, put away the clothes that my mom had washed, and went to work. When I came home, I watered the garden. My cucumber plant had started to come up!! For supper, I made white beans and rice. Saturday, I washed, hung, folded and put away 3 loads of laundry, waterd the garden, did the dishes, made the bed, cleaned Max's cage, gave Max a bath, ran around the house trying to catch Max, caught Max and put him back in his cage LOL, vacuumed, fed and watered the garden, did a small amount of weeding. Dave wanted Best Way pizza for supper, so I called and he went to get it. After we ate, we gave the kids a bath. Sunday, I watered the garden, went to Giant Eagle to get my newspapers and went to work. My friend Hope gave me some irises to plant. She had dug them out of her yard. I also bought a Brazilian fireworks plant to put in the pot I had out front. I got a bar of soap, a new toothbrush for Cameron and some tooth whitener also. Cameron had requested a can of chocolate-covered cashews, so I got him that. There was a church picnic, so Dave took the kids to that, and when they got home they cleaned up the yard and did a little bit of weeding in my garden. The kids were really tired by the time I got home, so Dave and I hung out a little bit, then we got some food from Sheetz and watched a movie together. Monday morning, I go up and made eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns for breakfast. We also had leftover orange juice, donuts and milk from the church picnic. Then we went and got my paycheck cashed. When we came back, I watered the garden and planted my Brazilian fireworks plant. Then I went to work. I was telling Gail about getting the plant and Hope giving me the irises, and she gave me a bleeding heart and a delphinium that aren't very big, but they'll grow and keep coming back!! While I was at work, I got my produce for the week--I got a zucchini, a bag of carrots, 3 cucumbers, a bag of onions, a bulb of garlic and a bottle of juice. After I got home, I planted my irises and watered the garden again. This morning, my mom and I went shopping. Our first stop was CVS. I spent a whopping 1 cent!! Yep, 1 penny was my total. For that penny, I got a Biore cleanser, some Biore cleansing cloths, a Biore self-heating mask, and 26 multi-packs of gum!! You know, the ones where there are like 8 small packs in a strip. I also got 2 tubes of Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste. I had a $4 off a $20 order, then I had $1 coupons for all the Biore things. I also had $1 off of 2 Colgate toothpastes. The gum was on sale for $1 a pack, and I had coupons for $1 off 1 pack, so FREE GUM!!! I used some of my EBs to pay the balance, and I had to get the penny from my mom--all I had were a few $20s! I had $4 EBs left over, and I got $12.99 back! So not too bad! My mom kept making fun of me because she had to pay the penny for me. She needed a few things at Wal-Mart, so we stopped there. The only thing I got was a pack of crackers that I had a free coupon for! Then we went to the Mennonite store, and I didn't get anything--which is GREAT--that took a LOT of self-control! We also stopped to get some strawberries. Then we went to Giant Eagle. I spent $54.88, which is a lot for me! But I got a lot of things I can use! I got a loaf of bread, 4 boxes of Totino's pizza rolls, a Hot Pockets calzone, a box of Glucerna cereal, a Quick and Simple magazine, a jar of Jif peanut butter, 2 jars of Hellmann's mayonnaise, 3 jars of Ragu pasta sauce, 20 Kool-Aid packets, a tomato, 3 packs of oreos, 6 bottles of Ken's marinades, 4 bags of Domino sugar, 2 boxes of Barilla pasta, a pack of ground beef, a bag of salad mix, 4 boxes of Caribou coffee bars, 5 bottles of Market District iced tea, 3 bottles of Wish Bone spritzers, a bottle of hershey's strawberry syrup, 3 gallons of milk, a whole cut up chicken, and a BIG pack of Sugardale hot dogs. I will get a rebate back for the cereal, too! When we got home, I put my groceries away and made cucumber salad to take to my mom's house. I also made homemade strawberry jam!! Yum! It was easy! We went to my mom's for supper because my sister-in-law and nephew are home from Texas. It was nice to sit around and talk for a while. When we got back, I watered the garden and gave the kids a bath. In the mail this week, I got 4 magazines, the birthday gift I ordered for my nephew Cody (a Magnetix set for $2.99!), some Kodak stickers with the kids' pictures on them from an instant win, a $4.99 rebate from No Nonsense, 4 stamps from a coupon trade, and the sale paper. oh?Posted by Anonymous at 11:51 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2007
