Last week, Dave's mom brought me a bunch of stuff that had been her mom and dad's. She brought me a bell, some handmade wooden spoons, some tea towels and a handmade dishcloth, a bag full of cookie cutters and some shirts and socks for Dave.
Last Saturday, I did 4 loads of laundry, the dishes, made the bed, gave the kids a bath, gave Max a bath, cleaned max's cage, cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed, and sewed a button on one of Dave's shirts.
Sunday was my niece Kaylee's birthday party. She's 5 now. We got her a set of books and I gave her some Johnson's Buddies soap. Dave's mom gave Dave a handmade cutting board to give me. It is shaped like a pig. Dave had taken me to work that day because the weather was supposed to get really bad, but it didn't. We did get some snow, but they cleaned it off the roads and there was nothing after that.
Monday, they weren't expecting much business, and there was nothing much to do at work, so they gave me the day off.
That was the most wonderful day of the week!!
I LOVE unexpected days of!! Especially since I HATE that place so much!
I did a load of laundry, put all the pictures in the kids' albums (there were 4 big envelopes of them!), cut out the kids' pictures to give away, framed and hung up some pictures I had wanted to hang up for quite some time, cut out my coupons and made my shopping list. Cameron and I made homemade pizza for supper.
Tuesday was shopping day!! I did pretty good. We went to CVS first. I got a pack of M&Ms so my ECBs would print out, then I went shopping! I spent $3.90
, and I got 2 packs of Carefree pantyliners, a pink grapefruit lotion, 2 tubes of Crest toothpaste, a pack of Life Fitness energy gum, a bag of Reese's Easter peanut butter cups, a Natural Instincts hair color, 2 Nice N Easy haircolors, a Maybelline Superstay lipstick, a Johnson's Buddies soap, and 2 Lumene face scrubs. I didn't get to use all my ECBs, so I still have $16 left for next week. Then we went to Petco so I could get Max some food. We stopped at Family Dollar, and I spent 78 cents. I got a bottle of paprika and 2 Valentine's Day dogs. At Giant Eagle, I spent $34.07, and I got a loaf of bread, 2 gallons of milk, a dozen eggs, 2 boxes of Van de kamp's fish, 8 bottles of V05 shampoos and conditioners, some Valentine Hershey kisses, 2 bags of Steamfresh broccoli, 2 boxes of Cheerios, 4 boxes of Caribou Coffee granola bars, 3 Swanson TV dinners, a bag of green grapes, 4 pounds of Sugardale low sodium bacon, a bunch of bananas, a family pack of groun beef and a family pack of Sugardale hot dogs. Not too bad. Tuesday night, I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn for supper. Then I gave the kids a bath.
In the mail this week, I have gotten a religious booklet, a CVS mailer, 2 books, the sale paper, 3 magazines, 3 stamps from a coupon trade, 12 stamps from a coupon trade and a sample pack of Digestive Advantage.
My car has been acting up lately
, and since it will need inspected soon anyway, Dave took it to the mechanic. I need axle boots, ball joints, front brakes, and then my speedometer was not working. But Dave fixed that already. The screw in it came out. It would work after it shifted, but then when I was coming home last night, it went down to 0 and would not move. It is really hard to drive like that, but I usually pay attention to my RPMs, so I knew about how fast I was going. It is not exact, though. Dave and his friend are going to work on my car tomorrow. They are going to fix what they can, to save as much money as possible. Then, the mechanic can do what they can't.
Dave has been off work this week. His wrist had been hurting him, to the point where he couldn't hold onto his coffee cup. So he came home early Wednesday, and called the doctor. But our regular doctor wasn't in, so he had to go to someone else. They told him he has acute arthritis, and gave him some prescriptions. He is feeling a lot better now, and he will be back to work on Wednesday.
My nephew Logan FINALLY got his birthday card I sent him WEEKS ago. My sister-in-law said their mail is slow there, but I didn't realize it was that slow. I will have to remember to send their stuff much earlier than normal.
Yesterday, after we took Cameron to school, Dave and I went to CVS
. I spent $3.30, and I got 3 3-packs of Irish Spring soap, a Nice N Easy color boost kit, a Colgate kids toothbrush and a pack of Life Fitness energy gum. I didn't get to spend any of the $16 in ECBs I already had, and then $13.49 more printed out!! So I will have lots for next week!!
