pork cabbage saute

Lisa asked me for this recipe, so I'm posting it here for everyone to see

Pork Cabbage Saute

1 pound boneless pork loin, cut into 2-inch strips

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 medium head cabbage, shredded

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

2 bay leaves

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

In a large skillet, cook and stir the pork in olive oil over medium heat until no longer pink; remove and keep warm.  In the same skillet, saute the cabbage, onion, garlic and bay leaves int he butter until vegetables are tender.  Discard bay leaves.  Stir in the pork, salt and pepper.  Serve with rice.

I had some carrots in the fridge, so I grated them and put them in with the rest of the veggies.

Thank you

Thanks Michele, I have alot of pork from a good deal I got a few months ago, I am going to try this, instead of the rice, maybe you could cook up some noodles and serve it like that also. I have alot of noodles and rice in my pantry, I will try this with both. Easy and sounds delicous! Thank you
Merry Christmas.
