My shopping trip was pretty good yesterday, except for the kids.  They were awful.  They cried and screamed about everything, everywhere we went.  They sometimes have their moments, but they don't usually act like that.  I don't know what got into them, but I hope it never comes back!!  But anyway, I got some awesome deals!  We went to Eckerd first, where I got 4  12-packs of Pepsi (Dave's favorite).  I spent $10.60 on it, but there is a $10 rebate, so for the cost of tax and a stamp, I got a lot of soda!  Then we went to CVS, which is right across the street.  I bought Cameron a pack of M&Ms, so my Extra Care Bucks would print out.  My mom bought Emily's M&Ms.  I spent about 10 minutes in the toothpaste aisle picking M&Ms off the floor.  The M&Ms were 65 cents.  I took my Extra Care Bucks off the bottom of that reciept and went shopping through the store.  I spent $2.58.  I got 2  3-packs of Irish Spring soap,a double pack of GUM toothbrushes, 2 softsoap hand soaps, a Softsoap body wash, 4 trial-size Herbal Essence shampoos/conditioners, a bar of Almay face soap, an Almay lip gloss and an Almay eye liner.  Not bad for under $3!  I had coupons for everything I bought except the Herbal Essence, plus I had $14 in Extra Care Bucks.  I will be getting around $20 in Extra Care Bucks to spend next week!!  This is so much fun!  Then we went to the bank so I could cash my paycheck.  I also had a check for $13 from some surveys I did, so I put that on my loan, and next week, it will be paid off!  Then I can start working on my credit cards.  After that, we went to the grocery store, where I spent $41.86.  I got a pack of Pull-Ups for Cameron (nighttime), 2 boxes of Luigi's Italian ices, an 8-pack of small bottled waters for Cameron to take to school, 3 packs of Oreos, a box of On-Cor salisbury steaks, a pound of bacon, a pack of pork chops, a big pack of hot dogs, a Pillsbury pizza crust, a bag of grapes, 2 loaves of bread, 2 bags of salad mix, 3 gallons of milk, and 3 jars of spaghetti sauce.  Not my best, but ok.

While we were at Eckerd, I gave a homemade lip balm to my favorite cashier, Jen.  She always gives me the overage on my coupons from the clearance items.  There was an older lady there, and she asked me some questions about making lip balm.  I asked her if she wanted some, so I gave her the extra one I had with me.  She tried to pay me for it, even though I told her it was a gift.  She told me I really should think about selling them.  She was really excited.

I was playing some instant win games on Sunday, and I won a code for 15 song downloads.  I emailed it to Dave so he could make a CD for himself.  I left it as a surprise, because I knew he'd check his email when he got home.  He called me at work to say thanks.

My friend Patty went back to college Sunday, so I sent her a little package with a few coupons, a small note and a container of my lip balm.

When I got back from shopping on Monday, Dave had cleaned the entire house.  He had picked up the kids' toys and vacuumed.

My mom and dad went to pick my sister-in-law and nephew up at the airport last night.  They had been to visit my brother.

In the mail the last 2 days I have gotten a sermon CD, a magazine, a ton of junk mail, some bills, a sample of Olay Definity, and the sale paper.

Our regular mail lady came back from vacation this week, so Cameron was happy.  He took her out a container of lip balm as a gift.  She really liked it.

Lately Cameron has been talking about guns and bullets and killing, so Dave put a drop of hot sauce on his tongue the other day.  He hasn't said too much of that stuff since then, so we threaten him with hot sauce every time he's bad now.

We went ot Wal-Mart today, because Dave had to go to Sears to pay his bill.  I was going to get a 10-pound bag of chicken leg quarters and a whole chicken, but the price of the leg quarters went down to 39 cents a pound, so I got 2 bags of those instead.  Not a bad deal!  I made a roasted chicken tonight for supper, and some mashed potatoes and peas.  For lunch, we had pizza.  Yesterday's supper was BLTs.
