When my mom and I took the kids shopping on Tuesday, Emily saw a guy on a motorcycle. She pointed and said, "Look, there's Pap!" Cameron said, "That's not Pap. Stop pointing!" Earlier in the morning, he had been "shooting bad guys" and he stopped and looked in the mirror. He said, "What are you doing here, Cameron?" and then he shot at himself. I had a pretty good shopping day on Monday. My mom and I went to the Giant Eagle. I spent $48.06, which was cutting it really close to my budget. I got a box of taco shells, 2 brownie mixes, a box of frozen onion rings, Pull-Ups for Cameron (he wears them at night), a bottle of buffalo wing sauce, a bottle of chocolate sundae syrup, a pack of sliced cheese, a box of Shrek macaroni and cheese, a bag of grapes, a bunch of bananas, a pack of cookie mix, a packet of taco seasoning, 2 loaves of bread, 2 bottles of salad dressing, 4 jars of applesauce, a carton of ice cream, 2 boxes of Totino's pizza rolls, 6 cups of yogurt, 2 6-packs of kids' yogurt, a head of lettuce, some nectarines, 2 packs of country-style pork ribs, a family-size pack of ground beef, a pack of pork chops, and 3 gallons of milk. the buffalo wing sauce and both salad dressings were free, the applesauce was 45 cents a jar, all the meat had coupons on it (except the ground beef, but I really needed that!), the onion rings and pizza rolls were free, and I made 10 cents on the sundae syrup! Everything else was either a really good price or something we really needed. Dave and I took the kids in town after lunch. We stopped at J.C. Penney first because I had a coupon for $10 off any purchase of $10 or more. Nancy asked me a question the other day, so I thought I would answer it now. She asked if I had ever won anything really neat in the sweepstakes that I do. Yes. I have won some very expensive cosmetics, an MP3 player (Dave got that for his birthday), movie tickets, food, toys... I just got a coupon the other day for a free Di Giorno pizza that I had won in an instant win! It is really fun, and if you win it is so worth the time. I have a few Christmas gifts in my closet that I won! We saw the movie Racing Stripes the other day, and it was so cute! Even the kids liked it. We also saw Chicken Little, and I want to get it now! And we watched Good Boy, which was also cute. I was watering my garden the other day, and my neighbor Vickie came over to ask if I'd water her plants while she was away on vacation. I am really excited! When the neighbors ask you to do something like that it means they trust you!!!! I don't know them very well, so this meant a lot. I haven't been getting much good stuff in the mail lately. I got a magazine, a free sample of Tide, a coupon for a free DiGiorno pizza from that instant win and the sale paper. |

We are trying to potty train Emily (who just sits there and then gets up and pees in her pants
) and I wanted to get her some "big girl underwear." They had the girls' panties buy 1 get 1 50% off, and then I had my coupon, so for 2 packs with 5 pairs each, my total came to 48 cents!!!
The kids were so good there that we took them to Toys R Us, where I had a coupon for $3 off a $3 purchase. We headed to the sale section where they each picked out a toy. After the coupon, the total was $2.08. Not bad. We went to Eckerd, where we didn't find anything, so we went to CVS. I got 6 bottles of L'Oreal Vive Pro shampoo and conditioner and 4 bottles of palmolive dish liquid. Dave also got a bottle of pepsi. The shampoo and conditioner had been $4.99 a bottle, but it was buy 1 get 1 free. I had 2 coupons for $2 off 1 bottle and 2 coupons for $4 off 2 bottles. So the price went from $4.99 a bottle to about 50 cents a bottle! The Palmolive was on sale for 88 cents each, and I had coupons for 40 cents off 1 bottle, so I got 4 bottles for 48 cents each! My total was $6.03! There was an older lady there buying All laundry detergent that was on sale. I had coupons for it, and they were going to expire soon, so I thought that instead of letting them go to waste, I would give them to her. She was really excited.
