On Saturday, I did my laundry and dishes, and since it looked like it was going to rain, I threw the laundry in the dryer. All those big black clouds just passed over us, though. I could have hung out the laundry. Oh, well. I also gave the kids a bath in the morning, and as soon as they were dressed, they wanted to go outside and wait for the mail lady. It wasn't quite time for her to come, and she's usually late on Saturdays, so while we were waiting we picked her some flowers. Sunday I worked all day, but Dave took the kids to Sunday school, then to my mom's house to eat. He left the kids at my mom's house, and he and his friend came back here to get his truck and take it to the mechanic's. Yesterday, Dave called the mechanic to tell him what was wrong with the truck, and he said he'd have it ready in a few hours. He was really busy, but since he is also a friend of Dave's, he squeezed him in right away. We went to my mom and dad's house for lunch, and to spend some time with my aunt and uncle. My uncle is now on a fishing trip with his best friend. We sat around and talked and ate, and ate, and ate.... I had to paint Emily's toenails before we left so Uncle Charlie could see them. While we were at my mom's house yesterday, we went outside for a little while to sit on the patio. It's really shady, so it's not hot under there. My aunt walked down the sidewalk, and Cameron was standing on the step. He kept leaning to see what she was doing, and he leaned too far and fell over. He scraped up his knee and elbow. After Dave had picked his truck up, we decided to go ahead and come home. Dave and Cameron stopped to get some water softener salt and bottled water, and Emily and I went to the Roaring Spring Department Store looking for tomato stakes. I got a pack of 25 for $2.59! They aren't as strong as some I've seen, but it was all they had! Plus, I had looked at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago and they had none at all. After we came home, Dave read the newsapaer, and I did my coupons and made my shopping list. Then we took his friend's car back, talked to him for a little while, looked at his garden (which I want), and came home. Dave and I staked up the tomato plants. That was very hard! They are pretty close together, so we couldn't tell which ones we needed to stake up, or which ones were already staked. I think we did ok. I pulled some suckers off the tomato plants while we were out there. I also found a rotten tomato, so I pulled it off the plant. Some of the tomato plants had already started to fall over, so that was hard, too. After we were done, I fed all my veggie plants and watered them good. The mail lady has been bringing some pretty good stuff lately. Over the past few days, I've gotten another sample of Olay regenerist night, a sample of Oasis mouthwash, a Pennsylvania geology book, 2 Nair prize packs from an instant win, a baby shower invitation and a pedometer. |

We picked her those big orange tiger lilys. They grow everywhere up here. She was really excited when the kids handed her their flowers! They wait for her whenever they can, because they love to talk to her and get the mail. We also had to go to McDonald's to get a "Happy Milk."
There went all of our extra money this month! And Cameron's birthday is next week. Thankfully, I have a stockpile of toys I got really cheap from work and Amazon.com. But we are having his party Saturday, and the food for the party is going to have to be taken out of my grocery budget. Oh, well. That's why I stockpile food.
I thnk he was embarrassed more than anything,
but I know it had to hurt. He cried for a while. Then, he went with Dave to get gas in his friend's car that we had borrowed, and on the way back in the house, he fell on the sidewalk. He scraped the same knee he hurt at my mom's house.
