It seems like forever since I've actually updated. We are getting some much, much needed rain in the form of thunderstorms. I don't mind, though. I'll take it any way I can get it. I haven't been out to my garden, though, for almost 2 days! I am getting some little tiny tomatoes on my tomato plants! The other night, I got a really weird phone call around midnight. The caller ID showed it as a cell phone, but didn't give a name. I picked it up, and this guy on the other end said, "Is Michele there?" I said, "This is Michele." He said, "What's your last name?" I said, "Well, you called me, so who are you?" He said, "Josh." Now, the only person I know named Josh is one of our vendors at work, and not only did it not sound like him, he doesn't even have my phone number!! Not to mention the fact that I didn't recognize the voice at all. He kept asking for my last name, and I refused to give it to him, and he asked for my phone number. We got some of those Color Wonder book at work for 50 cents!!! A lady came to my register the other day, and she had a bag of small potatoes. I was telling her how I made them the other night with butter and parsley, and she said, "You sound like a wonderful cook. Honey, I think you missed your calling." Wow! That made me feel like I'm good at something! My brother and his family are up for the weekend. My sister-in-law's brother is getting married and they are all in the wedding. My nephew looks so darn cute in his tux!! My mom invited us to supper the other evening. She made lasagna. Today's mail day sucked, but I had a few god things the day before. I got a sample of Shower to Shower shimmery body powder. I tried it today. I like it a lot! I also got a magazine, a cheese recipe booklet, and a bra I ordered from Catherines.com--I had a code for $15 off a $15.01 order. The bra was $16, plus around $4 shipping, so I paid $5, but that's still a good price for a nice bra. |
The pepperplants are starting to show some little buds. The tomato plants are blossoming like crazy, though. 
Didn't he just call me? He hasn't called back, but I have a few theories. 1--he randomly prank calls people, and makes up people's names to ask for, and he just happened to get it right this time. 2--he had someone else's cell phone and was just calling the people listed. 3--someone gave him my number. Whatever. I called back pretty late, hoping no one would answer, and I would get voicemail, and that would give me some sort of clue, but somone answered. It was so late, though, that he must have been asleep, because he started dialing numbers. I hung up.
It was nice to have a meal with my family. It was also nice not to have to cook. She even gave us some to bring home for lunches!!! She brought us some strawberries today. Yum! Dave is getting tired of strawberries, so I think I'll freeze them. Then I can put them in smoothies or cereal or anything!! How can you get tired of strawberries?
