What about now?

I learned the words to “Jesus Loves Me”
at a very young age.
But, did I realize
that only God
could get me through life's every stage?

I believed He loved me,
I loved Him, too.
So, each night I bowed and knew,
to make sure He knew.

What about now?

I didn't rebel
or smoke and drink,
Because if I did,
What would Jesus think?

I'd always relied on my parents
to get me through life's trials,
I didn't think I'd need my own
to get me through Satan's wiles.

What about now?

But even though
I may not know
the things God has in store for me,
I realize now that I must follow God's dear plea.

Come, my daughter, and follow Me.
