I had a pretty good 2 days off. We got some MUCH needed rain last night. It has been SO dry here. We went into town yesterday to get some things we needed. We went to get my check cashed, then to the water place to get salt for the water softener and some bottled water. Then we went to the Roaring Spring Department Store to get some paint stripper for Dave. He's working on an old cabinet he has--taking off the paint, then he wants to stain it. When he's all done with it, he wants to bring it in here and display his model cars. We went to the China Dragon buffet for lunch. Yummy! I got a food processor at work the other night. It was $25, and it is an 8-cup, and it has a few different blades with it. I'm really excited. I have a small one that's big enough to hold a small onion. But I've been wanting a bigger one. While we were at Target, we passed a display of socks. Now, those of you who know me know I LOVE socks!! I don't care if I ever wear another shoe again, but I love socks--the ones with designs on them. I didn't really look at them, because I knew I would want them, but Cameron saw a pair with popsicles on them, and he yelled, "Mama needs these socks, Daddy!" Dave said, "Well, then, put them in the cart!" I'm even more excited because I get to wear them tomorrow!!!! I spent a lot of time yesterday afternoon in my garden weeding. When I was about done, Dave got out the lawn mower, and Cameron had to help. So Emily and I sat and watched them and talked. My mint is doing so good! I can't wait to make some lip balm! My neighbor (the one who gave me the cake last week) yelled for me to come ove, so I went over, and she gave me a quart of strawberries!! She said she had picked them, and she was freezing them, and she thought we'd enjoy some!!! How sweet is that? So after Dave made us some hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, we had strawberry shortcake for dessert!! We took Cameron today to register for preschool. I am so excited about the teacher he's getting!!! He's going to have Miss Cathy, and she's one of my favorite people!!!! But I'm sad, because my babies are growing up. I've gotten some good mail in the last few days. I got a plasic whisk--I have been wanting one of those!! I also got a sample of FiberSure with a coupon, a kids nutrition booklet, some cigarette coupons Today was grocery shopping day. I didn't get too much, because there wasn't much good on sale. I spent $34, and I got a carton of Dole juice, 2 bottles of Sunny D, 2 Nesquik milkshakes (a treat for the kiddos), 2 boxes of Zatarain's rice mixes, a bottle of strawberry syrup, a bottle of ketchup, a package of hamburger buns, 2 loaves of bread, a box of granola bars, 2 pounds of butter, a box of frozen salisbury steaks, 2 cans of microwaveable soup, a pack of Pull-Ups, a bunch of bananas, a dozen eggs, a pack of pork rib chops and 3 gallons of milk. Not as good as I usually do, but still ok, because I stayed in my budget. |

I don't get Chinese food very often, so it was a real treat for me. I like that particular restaurant, because they have a little table with french fries and pizza for the kids. We went to Sears, where Dave got some tools he needed, and we got a new hose. The one we had kinked up so bad sometimes that the water wouldn't even come out of it! This one is longer, and it has a 7-year guarantee with it!! Then we went to Target, where Cameron and Emily picked out some M&Ms.
I got some plant food for my vegetables, and we got a hose reel for the new hose. Now it will stay nice.

to trade, and next week's sale paper!!
