Wishful Homesteader

It's been a pretty easy day for me so far.  I'm on my second load of laundry, and as soon as it's done, I'm going to hang it out.  I did all the dishes.  Cameron and Emily are eating their lunch.  They asked for peanut butter sandwiches.  We were outside playing, but it got really hot, so they wanted to come inside.  That's ok with me.  As long as I get to be with them, I don't care what we're doing.  I watered and fed my garden first thing this morning.  It is doing really well, for the most part.  My zucchini plants aren't coming up too well, but my pepper plants are getting bigger, and some of my tomato plants are getting blossoms on them!!  My bean plants seem to just be standing there.  They aren't gettting bigger, but they're still green, so I guess they're ok.  Oh, well.  I can experiment some more next year.  1 of my watermelon plants is looking really good, but the other 2 only look ok.  My mint is doing EXCELLENT, but I'm pretty sure I've killed the horseradish already.  The only other one I'm having trouble with is my dill.  Oh well.

I gave the kids a bath the other night, and Cameron kept saying he wanted to pull the "flug," so I let him, but I kept trying to get him to say "plug."  I said, "P-p-plug."  He said, "P-p-flug."  I was laughing so hard I stopped trying.  I think he does it on purpose, because he knows he's funny, but I want him to say it right.

My mom gave me a coupon for a free Dole juice that she won in an instant win.  I've been trying to win that one, but no luck.  They don't drink juice, so she gave me hers.  I'm excited!

Cameron is really upset with me because he didn't get to talk to the mail lady.  He cried for about 10 minutes.  I feel bad, and I said I was sorry, but he's still a little upset.  He must have heard her truck, but I didn't, so I made him get some sunblock on first, and by the time we got out there she was gone.  But she brought me a lot of good stuff today!  I got a coupon pack from the grocery store, and there are coupons for $4 off my order, $1 off meat, $1 off health and beauty, free hot dog or hamburger buns, and free ketchup!!!  I also got 3 magazines, a sample of Olay moisturizer, and a DVD trivia game from an instant win.  It is basketball trivia, and no one here really likes basketball, so it will be a nice Christmas gift for my nephew Cody.  He plays basketball.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am so inspired by all of you as I go thru different blogs. As a 'new' Christian, I can see why it was important for me to find this place.
Thanks a bunch!
