Well, I'm a little sunburned, but we got tons done today.  My mom came and got us and we went to the grocery store.  I spent $34.  I got 4 bottles of mustard, a family pack of pork butt steaks (), a watermelon, some bananas, some ground beef, 3 gallons of milk, 2 loaves of bread, 2 pounds of butter, 6 boxes of macaroni and cheese, a 6-pack of mini cans of pop for Cameron (so he can be "just like daddy..."),  a bottle of juice... I think that's all.  We stopped at my work, and I got a 10-pound bag of potatoes and some gala apples.

We came home and I put the groceries away, and made lunch.  I made hamburgers for Dave and myself, but Cameron wanted a Happy Meal, so my mom stopped and got them each one on the way home.

Then my mom came back with lots of plants!  I'm really glad I weeded yesterday!  We took a lot of dirt out of the garden, because it was higher than the stones around the garden.  Dave took it back and used it to fill in some of the holes in the yard.  We planted a LOT of tomatoes, some peppers, and some watermelons in that garden.  Dave took all the grass out of the third garden, and we planted some more watermelons and some green beans in there.  We put cages on the tomatoes, and some of them were really tall, so we staked them also.  I got these sticks called S'moreSticks, and they make great tomato stakes!  I got 4 in a pack for 50 cents.  We cut up an old pair of pantyhose to tie it with.  There was a tiny little tomato plant and a tiny little pepper plant, so Cameron got to plant those all by himself.  He planted them next to my herbs.  Well, my mom and Dave helped him with that.  Then my mom and Dave trimmed the shrub out in front of the house, and my mom trimmed the lilac bush, and she and I took all the "branches" from that around back.  Dave's friend came over and helped him put the last finishing touches on the garage roof.  We were outside for 5 hours doing all that.  And right before my mom came over, Dave had the weed-eater out, and did all the edges of the yard with that.  Emily went inside for a drink, and never came back out, so Dave went in to check on her, and she was sleeping in her bed.  She's not much of an outside person.  I used to be like that, too, but I love to go outside and work in the garden now, or just sit on the porch and read a book.

The only good thing I got in the mail today was a magazine.  But here's a good story for you...  We used to have Verizon as our telephone provider, but they really made us mad--a LOT.  When we first moved in here, over 2 years ago, I was 9 months pregnant, and they told me I would have to wait 2-3 weeks to get the phone hooked up!  Then they told Dave  he would have to be there when they hooked it up--the first day of deer season!  And they never showed up, so he called them and they said they'd be here the next day, and he didn't have to be there after all!  About 4 months after this, it occured to me that we had NEVER gotten a phone bill.  So we called them, and they verified our address, which was wrong in their system.  They had the street address right, but I live in East Freedom, and they were sending it to FREEDOM.  So when we did get our bill, they gave us all these late charges!  After about 3 phone calls, we got the late charges dropped.  Eveything was ok for a little while, the our bill came late again.  They were sending it to RR1 instead of RR2.  Then it happened a THIRD time.  They sent it to P.O. box instead of RR2.  So when Atlantic Broadband started offering telephone service, we called right away.  They called Verizon to cancel our phone service from there, and called us back saying that our address in their computer was different than in Verizon's computer.  Dave asked what it was, and he said OAK STREET!  So in the 2 1/2 years (give or take) that we lived here, they got our address wrong 4 times, and it was different every time!  We got a bill from them in a negative total about 2 weeks ago, then a check came for that amount a few days later.  A few days ago, I get a bill from them for 10 cents!!!!!!!  I'm not even wasting a stamp to send that!  What are they going to do, shut off my phone service?  I can't even believe THEY wasted the postage to send that bill!
