Well, I must say that today was a pretty productive day. I got 3 loads of laundry done, but I had to put them in the dryer. I did yell at the neighbor's granddaughter today, and I felt bad, but she just wouldn't listen to me. She kept asking Cameron to come across the street with her to play, and he knew he wasn't allowed, so he just stood there and looked at her, so I said, "He needs to stay here with me, but you can play with him here if you want." Every time she thought I wasn't paying attention, she came over again and asked him to go across the street with her. After I told her nicely about 3 times, I said, "I told you he's not allowed to go over there. You need to leave now!" She's too old to play with my kids anyway. They're 3 1/2 (4 in July) and 2! She's 6 or 7! I felt bad, because I have the only kids on the block, except for the other people's grandkids who visit once in a while, but no means NO! I weeded out my spot for my mint, and it was like the last patch I weeded--all grass and dandelions. But this side had big tree roots in it. I dug them up and they were taller than me. I pulled and pulled until they finally broke off. I would have weeded longer, but I think I was just as tired as the kids. It was a good mail day, but not for me--Dave got most of the mail today. Mostly magaines. I did get a lotion sample and a booklet. |

Dave and his friends were working on the garage roof all day, and pieces of old roof were falling where the clothesline is. Also, I weeded for a little over 2 hours, and got all my mint planted. I still have some weeding that I want to do, but the kids were very tired, so I took them into the house. I thoroughly cleaned both bathrooms. I did the dishes, too. We got pizza for lunch for everyone, including the guys helping us, and there was a lot left, so we are having it for supper too.
Poor Emily fell off the porch steps and skinned her little knees up.
