I had a pretty productive day today. I did a HUGE pile of laundry that I had been saving for nice weather. Cameron left his bag of "guys" in my mom's van yesterday, and he was so upset. He said, "Why did Grammy take it from me?" I kept trying to explain to him that she didn't, that it was an accident and we would get them back, but he kept thinking that he did something wrong. Poor little guy! We went and got them back today. In the mail today, I got some shampoo and conditioner samples and coupons, plus some Pull-Ups coupons, and a magazine. I also got a lot of junk mail. For supper tonight, I made pork chops and rice. I gave Dave the leftover peas from last night, and I split the leftover mashed potatoes between the kids. There weren't enough peas for everyone (not that they would have eaten them anyway), so I opened up the can of fruit cocktail I got for the product test. Emily loved it! She ate her whole bowl of it. Cameron licked it and said, "Ewww... that's yucky!" Dave and I thought it was OK, but I wouldn't buy it. I'd rather buy a few apples for the money instead. |

I used up my whole clothesline! At least I saved electricity! I washed them in cold water, too, with half the detergent called for on the bottle. I weeded my onions, and watered them. I weeded the big garden again, even though there is still danger of frost so there is nothing planted in it yet. If I keep up with it, I won't have as much to do when I actually can plant in it. We went to the Mennonite store today, because Dave wanted to get me some Amish cookbooks for Mother's Day. He picked out 2, and they seem like really good ones. I looked around a little while we were there, and I saw a lot of things I want to get, but not yet. Spelt flour, lots of different wheat flours, etc. I have a lot of processed "foods" here that I w ant to use up before I start stocking up on the healthy ones. A friend of mine wanted me to get him some herb seeds, and they are not as easy to find as they seem!! I stopped at 2 greenhouses, plus I looked in the Mennonite store while we were there. I finally found them.
