What a day...
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Pslams 100:1
The noise in my house this morning was anything but a joyful noise unto the Lord! Little "A" was in a mood. All morning he screamed and cried and threw fits. (I truely think he is jealous of Baby "R") He was better after he took his nap...just clingy.
Tomorrow it will be just Little "A". I'm sure he'll be lovin' the alone time!
Then, Thursday, Baby "R" will be here, again.
Hope ya'll have a great evening.

Monday Moments...
Bow down thy ear, Lord, hear me; for I am poor and needy Psalms 86:1
This is me! And I know He hears me. I know He will provide.
It was a busy holiday weekend. We went to see the fireworks, but instead of going into the park, (trying to avoid the masses) we stayed on the outskirts. We parked on a hill, in a church parking lot...only to be disappointed that they were not shot very high into the air. We, and all the others with the same idea, did not get to see them afterall. We know better for next year.
Saturday and Sunday I did some baking...Applesauce Cake, Brownies and Cookies. My 13yo dd "N" made a batch of Laundry Detergent. (I supervised). We had some wicked storms roll through...heavy rain, winds, thunder, lightening streaking right over of us, marble size hail...Thank God, no tornado's.
Today, I have Little "A" and Baby "R". Right now they are both sleeping. It will be a busy day, tending to the both of them. "N" helps. Well, never mind...I hear one waking. Gotta run.
Hope ya'll have a great day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Saturday...
Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Psalms 25:4
My hearts desire is to stay on His path.
This morning will be a busy one. First, to the Post Office to mail the A Beka Pre-Algebra I sold on Ebay. Then, to the Library to return our items and, possibly, check out more. And finally, to our HouseChurch meeting.
I'm not sure what we will do after that. We had a late night last night and we are both tired. So, we may just come home and chill, or maybe go back to Kim's house so the kids can swim.
Hope ya'll had a nice day of celebration, yesterday. And...
Hope ya'll have a great day, today.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Thursday Evening...
Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. Psalms 146:1
Let me say... "I'm tired!" Little "A" and Baby "R" kept me going today. I think I got all of a 30 minute break during the time they were both napping during the same time period. Boy, that cup of coffee hit the spot! Little "A" was a bit better at sharing me today.
When I was growing up, I always said I wanted to have 10 children. My life didn't take that course. So, now I ask the question...Those of you with children very close in age...How do you manage?
Now, the next 3 days are *us* days. No childcare, no house cleaning job. Tomorrow, we have a full schedule. Saturday morning is our HouseChurch meeting. After that, we need to do some baking and cleaning.
We need to get the dishes done and finish the laundry, so I'd better go.
Hope ya'll have a great evening.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Evening...
O taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in Him. Psalms 34:8
Yes, He is good!
My phone rang at 9:41pm last night. "C" was letting me know that she needs me to care for Baby "R" Wed (today), Thursday, Monday and Tuesday. Even though it's only on an *as needed* basis, it seems that God allows her to need me when I need the money.
So, today, I had Little "A" (16 months old) and Baby "R" (7 months old, preemie). Little "A" has difficulties in sharing me. Whenever I had to tend to Baby "R", Little "A" hung on to my legs and cried big crocodile tears. "N" pitches in by helping to feed one or the other and playing with them. She does not do diapers! I could see that, later on in the afternoon, Little "A" was doing better at *sharing.* Tomorrow is another day.
I've got to go finish getting supper together. We are having Taco Wraps.

Tuesday's Tidbits
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Psalms 71:1
Please pray for a man we know, Joe. He has been in ICU since last Tuesday. He is having siezures.
Also pray for my friend, Chris, and her family. Yesterday, her mom lost her battle with cancer.
Today, I am calling the DIY Exterminators to see what they recommend . Demon, Home Defense or Raid have no effect on them. Let's just say ... Invasion of the centipedes or millipedes...whatever they are. Last night was just horrible! And it is not just at my house, but the neighborhood.
Last night, Baby "R's" Momma called. She needs me for childcare on Thursday and possibly Wednesday. Thank you, Jesus!
Little "A" will be here shortly.
Hope ya'll have a great day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
My Monday Happenings...
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me and know my thoughts; Psalms 139:23
If you haven't aleady, check out the Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Focaccia Bread recipe by Chas. I made some yesterday and WOW! It is DELICIOUS!!! I took some to our Housechurch meeting ... They loved it! I'll definitely be making more.
Mike and Harrison came back yesterday to finish up their project. They cleaned up my garage, front patio, back patio, back yard, mowed the lawn and sprayed weed killer & more Home Defense. It looks GREAT!!! This is such a blessing. I don't know how to, adequately, say, "Thank you!"
This morning, Little "A" slept til 9:30am. Guess he had a busy weekend. While he slept, I was busy listing some things on Ebay. In my cleaning of the Homeschool shelves and my closet, I found some stuff that had been tucked away for a while. If anyone is interested, I have A Beka (Grade 8) Pre-Algebra and LifePac Grade 4 Cirriculum Kit. Send me a PM and I can give you the details.
Gonna go for now.
Hope ya'll enjoy the rest of your day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Saturday Morning
Psalms 97
I have a house cleaning job today. After that, and working 7 days in a row, I will have the rest of today and tomorrow for us. Hope to finish organizing the spare (craft/computer) room. We also need to straighten-up our bedrooms and clean our bathrooms. I did not get to the store yesterday. I will do that early tomorrow morning. We have our housechurch meeting tomorrow night.
I'm still looking for another child to care for or some other type of *work-from-home* I know God will provide.
My garage looks wonderful! Thank you, Mike and Harrison!!! I did not take before and after photo's. I would have been embarassed to post the *before* photo. LOL
I'd best get myself going.
Hope ya'll have a great day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Friday Morning...
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalms 119:165
Is it Friday, already? That means today is errand day. Just the ususal ... Library, Bank and Shopping. I normally don't have Little "A" on Fridays, but he will be here today.
"N" wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I made the cookies.
Last night, my nephew called to tell me that he and my B-I-L will be over today to clean out the garage. I hope they realize what they're getting themselves into. 4 years of stuff! LOL It's bad enough but really not THAT BAD. It's just that, I don't do garages, attics and crawl spaces/basements because I have critterphobia...spiders, scorpions, centipedes, etc... Maybe I'll do before and after photos.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Thursday's Thoughts...
Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. Psalms 119:140
Today would have been Granny's 90th Birthday. She was a unique and one-of-a-kind lady. I miss her very much. And yes, if you follow my entries here, today is the day my sweet, precious Chelsea took her angelic flight. (Granny's 75th Birthday)
On a happier note ... The Lord has blessed us with a new day and He has helped me to carry on through the difficulties of life. I will, again, state a favorite quote, *The truth of God's love is not that He allows bad things to happen, but it is His promise to be right there with us when they do* His promises are Yea and Amen!
Little "A" is still asleep. All is quiet and back to normal around here. ("N's" friend went home last evening.)
I'm off to do my morning chores and make some cookies. Better yet, I'll get "N" to make the cookies . She won't mind doing her school studies alittle later .
Hope ya'll have a great day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
I'm back again...
I made my bread this morning. Please check the recipe I posted on June 21. I have revised it.
The house is quiet for the next 1-2 hours. Little "A" is down for his nap. Kim picked up the rest of the crew and took them to her house. They are going to swim. This gives me the chance to get some housework done. I will pick-up "N" and her friend after Little "A" goes home.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Wednesday Morning...
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Psalms 119:10 This is my prayer.
I thank the Lord for helping me through my emotional day, yesterday. I know He will continue to help me through the rest of this emotional week. It's a week of memories ... Labor to Funeral.
Today I must bake some bread. I'll get it done this morning before it gets too hot. Supposed to be in the 90*'s. Also, it will be easier because I have a houseful of older children to help occupy Little "A" "N's" friend has been here since Sunday. Yesterday, they went to Kim's to swim ... And when I went to pick them up, Alex and Harry came home with me, too. Little "A" just loves it when he gets to play with Harry.
Little "A" will be here shortly so I've got to get going.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

My Little Angel in Heaven Above
Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Job 1:20-21
It's been 15 years and I still remember the words spoken to me ... "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Are you ready to give her back?" How difficult it was to let her go. My sweet, precious little one ...

Sunday Happenings
Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalms 109:89 God said it ... That settles it!
Yesterday was not so stormy, afterall. Light rain, some rumbles of thunder and a few flashes. By afternoon, it was sunny and muggy. I did some baking (banana bread and a batch of cookies) and some cleaning.
Today, I have the final cleaning of the one house. Tomorrow and Tuesday I have a 6 month old. And of course, Little "A" will be here, too.
I'd better get movin'
Hope ya'll have a great day.

If you're like me, and like a sweeter bread...I add extra honey.
A Stormy Saturday ...
When I think of the goodness of Jesus, and ALL He has done for me. I am so very blessed!!!
It's raining and I've heard some rumblings of thunder. So has Daisy!
But, it is another day given to us by our gracious Lord. We need the rain! Not only do the plants and grass like the rain, but so do the Fire Ants! I know I'll be finding fresh mounds throughout the yard.
Today is a house cleaning day ... my house. I also have to work on my menu for next week and "N's" lesson planner.
Guess I'd best get started.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Friday is here
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105
Today is errand day ... as is every Friday. Banking, Library, Shopping, etc.....
Need to get Dad or B-I-L here to clean A/C filter. It is in the attic and I don't do attics! Yesterday, it was 84* in this house with the A/C on, so I finally just turned it off. No sense running up the power bill any higher than it already is. I'm in slow-mode this morning. Lastnight, as tired as I was, it took a while to fall asleep with it being so warm in the house. I do say we are spoiled to have A/C.
A few days ago, I was telling the children ... When it is cold, you can dress in layers to keep warm. But when it is hot ... Well, you get the point
I made bread yesterday morning. It turned out much lighter and softer. I'll post my modified version of the recipe.
This is my last weekend for the one house cleaning job. I'm advertising childcare and I'm looking at on-line-work- from-home. (Thank you, Becca!) I know the Lord will supply our need.
I'd best get movin' or I won't get anything done.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Thursday's Thoughts...
When you've tried everything, and everything's failed.....
TRY JESUS!!!!!
Last week on HSB Front Porch, there was a link to 'Freebie of the Day.' I checked-it-out ... signed-up for it ... I'm so glad I did. If you haven't yet, check-it-out. I've downloaded quite a few Homeschool resources for FREE. One, of which, we are working on now is 'The Declaration of Independence' copywork. It is broken down to such that this will take us til July 3rd to complete. Just in time to better understand the reason why we celebrate *The 4th of July / Independence Day*
Yesterday, I did not get time to make bread. Hopefully, today. I did season my cast iron cookware.
Little "A" will be here shortly, so I'd best get going.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Wednesday
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6 Oh, how I need Him to direct me in every aspect of my life. I can not make it through one day without Him.
Today, I need to make bread. I am going to use that new recipe I used last week, with some adjustments. I had used the least amount of flour that it calls for, yet, the bread was harder than I like and dry. So, modification is a must. If it turns out into a yummy loaf of bread, I will post the recipe.
Oh, I've acquired some cast iron cookware ... WAHOOO! Kim gave me a frypan when she got her waterless cookware. And from Taste of Home ( with a *special* $1.00 shipping and some Birthday money) I got a 3 qt pot with a lid that doubles as a pan. So, tonight, I will season it, bake it, and allow it to cool over night. Happy am I
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Laundry Detergent Happenings
A few weeks ago I posted that Kim and I, along with the children, made our first batch of Homemade Laundry Detergent.
Sunday, in the midst of our Father's Day Breakfast we were telling my Dad more about this. So, yesterday he calls me from Wal*Mart asking me to tell him what he needs to make his own. His brand of laundry detergent has gone up in price by $3.00...now costing over $5.00 for a gallon jug.
Then today, Little "A"'s Momma asked me for the information so she can make her own.
Just wanted to share my excitement about this.

Tuesday's Tasks ...
O give thanks unto the Lord; For He is good: because His mercy endureth forever. Psalms 118:1
Little "A" will be here shortly. He is sooooo funny. I'm so glad he is back to his normal self.
I have to finish-up the laundry.
"N" did pretty good with her schoolwork, yesterday. We will be doing more *catch-up* today and throughout the rest of the week ... to be totally caught-up. WAHOOO!
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Monday Moments...
Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Psalms 123:1
I look to Him for everything!!!
I over-slept this morning. I went to bed on time...but Daisy woke me up at 11:30pm barking, growling and carrying on so. I thought maybe an animal was lurking outside. No, it wasn't that. At 11:45pm, I could hear the thunder and see lightning flashing. Diasy does not like storms!
I have been Excused from serving on Jury Duty this week. So, today will be *Get back on track* day. I have been a bit lax these past few weeks. But lately, "N" has worked diligently on Math and has totally caught up today. I am so proud of her. I must say the Teaching Textbooks program is a Godsend. "N" struggles with math. TT has been a great help. Check it out at www.teachingtextbooks.com We are doing the same with Science, History and all aspects of LA. We Homeschool year-round. We do not follow the public school calender, although we do follow the August - July school year and the required 180 days.
Gotta get goin'.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Saturday's scene
A new day ... It's a blessing from the Lord.
Yesterday evening, Grandma picked up the 2 little ones around 5:30pm.
Today: I have a house cleaning job this morning and a Baby Shower at 4:00pm
Tomorrow: Kim and I are making "Father's Day breakfast" (with the help of the children, of course)
At some point this weekend, I need to wash my kitchen floor and take care of some other household things. With "N" helping me, we will have the house back in order in no time. We also need to bake some snacks.
Hope ya'll have a great weekend.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
God Provides!!!!!
There are several verses of Scripture that come to mind that reference God's provisions for His children. These are His promises to us ... Yea and Amen!
Finding out earlier this week that I am losing one of my house cleaning jobs, all I could do is give the situation to my Lord and I know He will provide ... and He has already! Just yesterday, I received 2 calls for childcare. These are not permanent positions, but every little bit helps. In fact, what I will make for these 2 positions will be 1/2 of what I will lose for one month. Thank you Jesus!!!
In fact, I have 2 children as I post this. They got here yesterday soon after Little "A" went home. They spent the night, and Grandma will pick them up about 5pm today. Mom and Dad had to go out of town for a family emergency. This is the same family that I am losing the housecleaning job to. Please, keep them in your prayers.
The plan for today...Library, shopping, pick up pottery, take the highly energetic children to the park.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Thursday's Thoughts...
Psalms 121 is just one, of the very many, scriptures that has helped me in difficut times.
Today promises to be hot, but they say not as hot...only in the 80*'s and hoping it will not be 90* ... we'll see! We had T-storms last night. It rained so hard. We need the rain. We haven't had any in a few weeks.
I hope to make bread today, using a new recipe. If it turns out ok, I will post the recipe. Also need to make some snacks. I put peanuts in the crockpot last night. Hot boiled peanuts ... YUM!!! I wasn't saying that 6 years ago. I did not want to even try them because I thought it sounded gross. But, eventually, I just had to see what these southerners bragged about...so, I tried the hot boiled peanuts. I've been addicted ever since
I also have a load of laundry to do. Dear God, PLEASE...no creatures. (We have bug paranoia)
Little "A" was doing better yesterday. More of a good mood and fewer "melt downs." Earlier in the week his Momma said the Dr wanted to see him today if he was not any better. Yesterday she said she may cancel the appointment. She'll call me later to let me know for sure.
I still haven't found a decent produce co-op...but I am still researching. Will let ya'll know.
Hope ya'll have a great day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Morning...It's Wednesday
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 HE IS!!!
Today promises to be another scorcher. I am hoping, again, that Little "A" is feeling better. He no longer has a fever, but he is soooo moody.....happy and playing one minute, then without warning, he will burst into tears and be miserable for a while (more than a while).
I received word last night that I will be losing one of my cleaning jobs at the end of the month. Therefore, I will lose $300 a month. NOT GOOD! I will be advertising my childcare services AND praying for God to lead me to find more at-home income. I know He will take care of us. That is His promise!
I also pray for the family that has to let me go. He is self employed in the construction field. 2 of the builders he supplied for can not pay him the *6 digit amount of money* they owe him. This family is in a very tough financial situation. I will say it, again ... God promises to take care of us.
Little "A" will be here shortly, so I'm gonna go.
Hope ya'll have a great day.
In Him, Jill (the big sister)
Good Tuesday Morning!
Genesis 1:24-25 Tells us about God creating every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. I just wish they would stay outdoors upon the earth, and stay out of my house. Last night as I was getting another load of laundry to be washed...there in my washer is a scorpion. Yes, you read that correctly ... a SCORPION! Oh, how I do not like them in my house. We have even sprayed Demon bug barrier and have not seen a creature since, except for this thing. Ok, so after the shock, then the ordeal of removing it from the washer, I did thank the Lord that my daughter and I did not come in contact with it while it was still alive. You see, "N" separated that pile of laundry, I put it in the washer, then "N" put it in the dryer. We both handled that load of laundry and the Lord kept us safe.
As for the rest of my day yesterday, Little "A" has not been feeling well since last Wednesday. Whiney, cranky, crying, just plain 'ol miserable and wanting to be held all day long. Dr. says it is the reaction from the MMR immunization. So, I spent my day trying to console and comfort him. "N" went to Kim's...to swim in the pool. The laundry did not get done, but, I did manage to bake a batch of cookies while he napped.
I sure hope Little "A" is feeling better today. Poor lil guy. It breaks my heart to see him so miserable. I hope to finish the laundry that I couldn't get done yesterday.
Hope ya'll have a great day.

Good Monday Morning!
I believe it is our duty to be good stewards of all that God has given us ... Our body/health, our finances, etc.....
Just a bit ago, on a local Christian radio station, they asked "How do save money on groceries?" One of the women who called in says she has a family of 6 and spend $50.00 a week on groceries. WOW! She belongs to a produce co-op for $5.00 a week and a Tyson chicken co-op, where she gets chicken for well below the store price. To my fellow Georgians ... Do you know the WHERE and HOW of this??? I am going on a search today to try to find these co-ops. Any info you have is much appreciated. And I will pass on any info I come up with.
Hope ya'll have a great day.
