Movin' Right Along...

Had an email from the WAH company with a link to the hiring forms I need to fill out and email back to them.  3 of them require other things, such as a Notary, a voided check for direct deposit, and a State Tax form filled out and signed ... all to be faxed and mailed to them.  I hope to get to the Library this evening for the Notary.  Then, I can fax and mail these forms tomorrow.  As soon as they get them, they will schedule my training.   It is paid training, too.    I hope they schedule real soon...like next week.    Could sure use the $$.

Hope ya'll have a great day.

A Blessed Weekend!

Good Monday morning!  I am so excited to tell you about my weekend.  But first, go get your coffe / tea / hot cocoa and get comfortable...this is going to be a long one.

I posted last week about my looking into a part-time WAH program.  So the story goes...

Ya'll know I provide childcare to Little A (a reliable income every week) and Baby R (unfortunately, not so reliable) .  I lost my BIG housecleaning job due to the economic slow-down and have not found anything to replace the full amount of that loss in income.  I do clean other houses, but it still does not match the loss.  And I haven't had any calls for childcare.  My advertising signs are forever being destroyed.  N, my 13yo dd tells me, "Momma, maybe God has something else for you!"  Ok, I can accept that, but I'm at the point where, what comes in and what needs to go out aren't matching up.  So, these past few months I've come up short.  I do thank God for providing and using other people to bless us in our time of need.  I'm tired of being needy!

So, anyway...last weekend, Kim told me about this WAH program she looked in to.  Last Saturday, I filled-out the online application, prayed "Thy will be done"  and left it at that.     Not even an hour later, I had an email from the company requesting a voice sample, which I did on Monday.  On Tuesday, they emailed again, wanting a phone interview.   (Oh, this WAH program requires DSL internet, so I signed up.  I've always used Dial-up because it is less expensive)         I use the landline only for internet service and use my cellphone as my primary phone.  But, the WAH company insisted they call me on my home phone...so I plugged in a phone.  On Wednesday, something told me to check the phone.  3 phones and all the wall jacks later, I find that the ringer does not work.  I used my cell phone, called my home #...I can hear it ring and can answer and hear it, but it does not ring in the house.  I call Kim and have a meltdown  .  She says to call the phone company.  So, I call for service repair and am told the problem will be fixed by Saturday.  A tech shows up at my house on Thursday, but can not fix it.   He tells me he'll have to send someone else first thing Friday morning.  By Saturday,  I have not seen nor heard from the *someone else* and the phone is still not working.  I also receive, in Saturday's mail, a letter stating they have denied my request for DSL due to a credit reporting issue.  (Excuse me, but my credit happens to be in the GOOD-EXCELLENT range)  Another meltdown  .  So, I call the phone company again...explained the sitiuations...very aggrivated...I had to apologize to the CS Rep for being aggrivated/frustrated at him.  Anyway,  he looked up all the info...says he does not know why that letter was sent as he can see I do have excellent credit.  Asks if I have been able to use the DSL.  "No sir, I have not even hooked it up yet."  (remember...I am electronically and technologically challenged!  My BIL was going to hook it up this weekend)  The CS Rep asks me to hold while he checks on some things.  A few minutes later, he comes back and tells me, "I do apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced.  If it is ok with you, I will have a Tech out there tomorrow (Sunday) between 1pm and 5pm to hook up the DSL for you (would have cost me $100 for him to do this) and repair the phone problem.  You will not be charged for any of this and I am giving you a free month of service for the inconvenience."        Sunday (yesterday) right around 1pm ... the Tech arrives.  He hooks up the DSL and fixes the phone line, which took all of maybe 30 minutes.    4 hours later, the phone rings.  It is the WAH company calling for my phone interview.  After a 10 minute conversation ( mostly 1 sided on her part...verifying info and giving me more info), she tell me I'm hired!

I KNOW God will take care of me ... so why do I stress-out and *meltdown* when things get too overwhelming!  Maybe it's because I'm human...and sometimes my human thinking over-rides my spiritual knowing.   Yes, there are times, like these, when I wish He would make life alittle easier by writing it on the wall ... **Ok, Jill, You will get this job, but there will be some hurdels to get over.  Please , don't meltdown, just trust in Me completely!**

So in the mean time, my sister and BIL came over and put in a much larger capacity hard drive in my computer.  A friend is supposed to come Friday evening and do some maintenance on this machine so it works efficiently. ( It has 8 years of STUFF in it).  And I will ready my life for a new schedule...childcare during the day and WAH program in the evening and weekends...a few hours each day.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hope ya'll have a great day.

In Him,  Jill (the big sister)
