Mom's Brag time!!

I have the two best kids in the world.  Talk about being blessed!!  Both of my kids love to learn.  My daughter, who is in tenth grade, is working her algebra like a pro, and my son is aceing his math daily. (we LOVE Teaching Textbooks) 

They are both diligent in their schoolwork, although Harry, like any 11 year old boy, would much rather spend his precious time out exploring on the seven seas, or he would rather be building something, or making a new board game..... ect.

Last year, we studied the history of ships, because it was something that facinated him.  Here are photos of what he created at ten years old completely *by himself* with some scrap wood and whatever else he could find!

He also makes board games, some of which, I have to admit, are extremely challanging and creative.  I know God has plans for this creative kid.

Where Harry's creativity comes through in his building and creating, Alex is more musically inclined.  Although *she* doesn't feel like she has natural talent, after hearing her play "Scarborough Fair" on her keyboard completely by ear, I beg to differ.  She took piano lessons for a while, but found it impossible to learn to read music.  But She makes up for all of that with her determination and ability to learn to play by ear.

Our local homeschool convention is next weekend, we are looking forward to going!!
